The host, George, picked us up in Chania at no extra charge which we appriciated very much. The pictures doesn't lie, the view is fantastic! We highly recommend it if you don't have problems with steep hills.

The hill up is a bit of a walk.

We loved it here!! We were welcomed extremely warmly and even brought some homemade traditional pastries. The room was very nice and comfortable, had great view and was very clean. Golden Beach is beautiful, especially in the morning. Public transport also very accessible and reliable.

George was excellent, he picked us up when our bus was late, showed us around the area and gave great recommendations. On departure he organised a taxi to the bus station for us - we were very well looked after while we stayed here. The accomodation was perfect for what we wanted in our stay in Chania and the view from our studio was spectacular.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 weeks at this hidden gem. The view from the flat is beautiful - especially the sunset view. It felt like a home away from home. The host is kind and ready to help with any inquiries you may have. He arranged for airport pickup which in our case meant he came to pick us up. He showed us the area and various bus stops, supermarkets, beaches etc on the way to the flat. We didn’t rent a car and were therefore dependable on public transport. This spot is perfect for just that with multiple bus services within a 7-10minute walk from the flat. We enjoyed our stay very much and miss it already!

A bit lacking on some amenities for cooking and intermitent internet connection (this is a general problem for the area though)

We had great time in the apartment. It was clear, the hosts were great, it had a nice view over the surroundings, parking space in front of the property and close to several good beaches nearby. We really enjoyed staying on the balcony in the evening.

It was our second stay in the apartment. Our impressions were as positive as last year. The place is ideal for active people, it has everything independent holiday makers need. It's very clean and convenient. The owner is very friendly and helpful with everything. The people who take the daily care of the apartment are cordial and hospitable. Check-in and out was really easy, had a kind welcome and gifts too. The place is spacious, clean, quiet, has a lovely view from the balcony, has AC and fan, Wifi worked great, had a cleaning and towel change during the week. All in all a great place to stay!

Excellent place as a base for us for 3 weeks to enjoy several nearby beaches, Chania, the surrounding hills for hiking. Delightful balcony in shade until sunset time, gorgeous view! We also had to work from there for some time (was at a conference), which worked out really well for us. Great AC, fan. Fridge, micro, kettle, was great, but kitchen a bit small for regular sustenance, yet, there are plenty of good affordable restaurants nearby. Regular cleaning and support from live-in staff was fantastic and the owner even picked us up from the airport, super responsive and helpful.

This place is amazing and looks exactly like the pictures. The apartament is cozy and clean, well equiped, has air conditioning, mosquito nets, even a beach umbrella and an amazing view of the sea. And it's only 8 minutes away from the beach and supermarkets. Georgios is a great host. He even left some treats for us in the apartment and helped us with the taxi transfer to the airport.

The sunset view from the balcony was breathtaking. The accommodation is in a very quiet neighbourhood. The host (George) is an amazing person who received me at 1:30 AM and even showed the nearest shops, bakery and the bus stops.

Location is perfect, 10 min walking to the three nicest beaches in Chania. This apartment has everything we need. Host is very helpful!

- there was a weak/faint smell of cigar (somebody probably smoked in that room at some point); - the bathroom is small but fully functional; - this is more of a personal preference, although it might be impractical for sea-side accomodations: there was no carpet in the room (this would add some points to comfort - at least for me);

- we had everything we needed to also eat at the apartment; - we had a table on the balcony with a wonderful sea view (the sunsets were extremely beautiful); - we had everything we needed in the area: beaches, supermarkets, bus stations, car rentals, restaurants; - the host gave us a quick tour with the car after picking us up from the bus station and before droping us at the apartment; - the host also arranged a taxi for us in the morning that we had our flight (please note that the taxies are expensive and charge as they desire - 15 euro for 3.6 km; i wouldn't recommend using them unless you really need to, as we did); - we also had a washing machine, but we did not use it as we had a lot of clothes packed with us;

There are a lot of dogs in the neighbourhood that can be quite loud during the night if you want to leave the windows open. But if you close the door you can't hear them.

George picked us up from the bus station and showed us around the area which was very nice and helpful. The apartment is clean and very nice, you have everything you need. The view from the balcony was amazing! There is an aircon but you can also leave the windows open at night because there is a fly screen so no mosquitos! Nice beaches in walking distance and you can get to the city centre by bus in about 10-15 minutes or walk along the beach for around 30-40 minutes.

Our trip was amazing! Would highly recommend staying here - we were picked up from the airport by George which was super helpful and he told us all about the area, places to see and things to do. The apartment had everything you could want, and just a short walk to three amazing beaches and close to supermarkets. The room also had local honey and raki which was a great touch and very appreciated. There were people around the whole time to ask questions and keep the room clean and we even had help getting to the port on our departure from the island. Couldn’t rate highly enough!

We had a very nice stay at the golden beach hill apartment. The view was amazing. You can not find somewhere else for this price a apartment with a view like that. Besides the apartment was very clean and you have a little bit space also to cook something. A lot of beaches are nearby, and when you don‘t have a car tours are starting as well from there. If you are interested into partys you can go with the bus (max 15 min with bus) to Chania. I can highly recommend this place.

Beautiful apartment and amazing view with a big spacious terrace. The apartment was extremely clean and had all the facilities you need. The service and host were world class. I highly recommend that you visit and see for yourself. We had amazing time and we thank Giorgios for showing us around ,for the sweets,coffee and rakí ,also to the kind people which kept our room clean and neat.

Small ants in the kitchen. There was a couple, nothing critical.

Fantastic view from the balcony and windows. Very friendly host and staff. The owner met us in the city center and drove to the apartments, he then showed us around by driving with us and took no money. Kitchen was also good with all tableware needed, my wife was especially happy with cezva to make coffee. When we asked for salt and olive oil the staff brought it to us. The cleaning was very good, we overcooked sandwiches in the sandwich maker and it was hard to clean so we left it in the water to soften the fried cheese coating. When we came back, sandwich maker was cleaned and looked as new. The toilet flushing mechanism broke during our stay but was promptly fixed by the staff.

Nothing to do with the apartment, but some of the neighbors have dogs, and tend to let them loose on the street, my wife was afraid whenever we had to come back home... So be prepared.

The location is great, less than 10min walking to the beach, and 5-6min walk to the supermarkets and bus stations. Apartment is spacious, clean and has all the necessities you need to spend a nice holiday. The balcony is huge with a nice view over the town and a little sea view as well. George is an amazing host, arranged the transport via taxi from and to the airport, was very communicative and responsive whenever we needed something, even left us a jar of home made honey in the fridge!
