Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaNo window in a pretty small bathroom, mattresses in the master bedroom should be replaced (could feel the springs)
The Location itself is outstanding, the sea is just across the apartment, great view from the terrace during night (milky way right above you) and day (Velo Lago)

Czech RepublicThe apartment is furnished simply with no pretensions to style, the advertised washing machine has been removed (though our host let us do our laundry elsewhere in the house). Mosquitoes were a constant pest, despite the presence of a screen. My messages to the host regarding arrival and transfer from the ferry remained unanswered and he didn't pick up the listed phone number on our day of arrival, though he was standing outside the apartment when we arrived by taxi at 22:30. Nearby café Kokolo is fine for drinks, coffees and snacks, but the nearest proper restaurant is in Ubli, 30 minutes' walk away (unless you count the nearby Hotel Solitudo, which has terrible reviews). Despite these niggles, the setting is lovely and I would recommend a stay here to anyone who wants to "get away from it all", though the construction work further along the road seems to indicate that it will not stay quiet for ever.
The spacious Standard Studio has its own, private roofed and terrace at road level, which is nice for sitting out, the pretty flower plantings act as a privacy screen. The private beach is the best feature of the property, though it is not as glamorous as it appears on the listing photos. However, it gives good access for swimming and snorkeling in the sheltered waters of beautiful Velo Lago and we were excited at the variety of marine wildlife we discovered within a couple of metres of the shore including numerous starfish, Moray eels, scorpion fish, sea cucumbers and an octopus. A short walk away is Jurjeva Luka bay with interesting and totally accessible relics of the Yugoslav Army presence on Lastovo (deserted barracks, tunnels into the rock). Fans of urban exploration would have a field day.

GermanyLastovo is a very beautiful island. The apartment in Pasadur with a terrace and own platforms for swimming was perfect for us. Nearly no traffic on the small street in front of the house and a small konoba nearby made it a joyfull stay with a lot of opportunities for walking and cycling

United KingdomFor this price the apartment could have been more modernised. Does not have bar and restaurant as said in listing (but there is one not too far away)
Beautiful beach area with sun loungers and umbrellas. Lovely cove to swim in with clear water and beautiful surroundings and flowers

GermanyThe terrace is shared with other apartments, separated by screens, it's not 100% private. Some salt, pepper, sugar, oil in the otherwise fully equipped kitchen would have been nice to have. Without own transport it's isolated at the western end of the island with no shops nearby and 3km from the ferry, but cars, bikes and scooters are easy to rent nearby.
Decent-sized apartment with part of a large shared terrace overlooking the bay. Has private chairs and umbrellas on the concrete platforms on the waterfront directly below. Friendly owner doesn't speak much English or German but we managed. The nearby Kokolo restaurant is recommended for breakfast croissants, drinks and (booked in advance) dinner.

SlovakiaThe pictures of the apartment on booking.com are better than the reality.
The apartment was nice and accurate for a family of four. What makes this place truly special is its own beach with sunbeds and umbrella, where you can just sit back and relax. The peacefulness of the island and the bay adds to the enjoyable holidays.

SwitzerlandThe kitchen could have better equipped in terms of knifes but we were given these by the owner when we asked. The terrace is a bit small when you are a family of 5. Especially with such a big table and chairs. Wasps are a constant issue…. Not sure what can be done about it.
Location is unbeatable Our hosts were lovely and helpful Easy parking Private beach Very relaxed atmosphere Close to a great coffee place Dishwasher Starting pack with dishwasher tablets and co

PolandMy note refers to apartment on top floor only. We stayed there 4 nights with 2 sons. This is the best choice. It is very big with 2 bathrooms. Really comfortable. Location is good - but if you like snorkeling it is suggested to walk to some other places. There are nice walking paths and trails bringing you to hidden bays. Owners are super nice. We needed some additional equipment in the kitchen and bathroom - the lady was happy to help and brought all immediately. Walking distance to bar and restaurants. Nice during evenings.

PolandHonestly, I was disappointed with the apartment (middle apartment on the first floor): – room for the kid very small with no outside window - so called “private terrace” is to be shared between 3 apartments - There was no low season rete, even it’s common in Croatia to star the high season on June the 1st For me personally the worst thing to happen during vacation stay (we spend there 9 nights) is to sleep next to the air conditioner. Here, we had 3 right outside the bedroom, working all night long ☹. For the money paid we were expecting little more.
The location and private beach were perfect! The trees left above the beach also great idea, you can enjoy either the Sun or the shadow!
