Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs I stayed 5 nights & due to the humidity I would’ve liked fresh sheets at least once & towels without having to ask. However rooms are clean and I was very happy.
The setting & buildings are really stunning. Wild life of birds, butterflies & geckos. The pool is beautiful and the views are gorgeous. Everyone was super friendly & accommodating. Very relaxed at times but you really just need to ask & it’s really no problem. Location is great and an enjoyable walk or short scooter ride to being in the centre. Far enough away from the noises of hustle & bustle. I felt safe as a solo female traveller walking home at night. Recommend Yoga Ubud House 9am Vinyasa - 3 min walk away. I stayed in the jungle view room, on the edge of the property & loved waking to the views. Was also private. Swem is a gem - ThankYOU!! Appreciation.

United KingdomAt times felt a little damp/musty inside. Personally I prefer to have AC. The bathroom felt a little tired
Beautiful location - blended being quite secluded with being close to Ubud. Great pool and large room. Friendly & helpful staff. Simple but tasty breakfast. Nice toiletries in the bathroom available.

United KingdomThe room above did not have a good insulation layer on their floor so could hear. However such a minuscule detail in between such beauty!
Loved that it was central in Ubud, but tucked away into the rice fields to give you peace and quiet from the busy streets. Beautiful pool, beautiful porch to meditate over the forest view. Very welcoming and wish I could have stayed longer!

New ZealandI have no negatives about this place. it was a walk up the hill which I was advised about. You can only get there on foot or motorbike no issues with that at all.

We spent a few days here at Prashanti retreat. At night, we could ear the sweet sound of the stream and see fireflies twirling around . It was the perfect spot to relax in the nature and enjoy a wonderful view on the jungle for sunset and sunrise , with the volcano afar . The place is located on a small trail in the ricefields , 10 min walk from the center of Ubud with all the temples, cultural activities and markets. But it's also possible to stay around to follow the small road, walk in the ricefields and enjoy lots of cute and cosy little cafes on the way ,away from the traffic of the city. The room was spacious, bright and clean , with hot water available , and a comfy bed safe from bugs, thanks to a big mosquito net. A healthy and delicious breakfast is included, and special mention to the lovely team and owner who make sure to make you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay

CanadaI was in a downstairs and could hear the person upstairs, waking me up. I was not stoked that they only took cash as payment option.
Location was awesome - close to town and still far enough away to avoid some of the crowds. Nice cafe's in the area. The pool and surroundings were beautiful.

United KingdomNothing ! Pic below is rice field restaurant opposite:)
It is just idyllic - unbelievable jungle views, beautiful sunsets, made from natural resources and you are immersed in the sounds of nature as you relax, read, lounge in the sun, swim and rest. This place is soul food and a complete haven from Ubud which is a short walk, or an even shorter Grab ride (I was constantly hopping onto them going to the Yoga Barn!). I also enjoyed walking bare foot to the beautiful little restaurant opposite for an oat cappuccino and delicious food- looking out over the rice field with my book. The staff are just incredible, Swem and Iliu - thank you for everything and for looking after me with such care. As a solo female traveller, it truly felt like home from home. I felt very safe and I wasn’t lonely for a moment! You couldn’t do any more for me - even made sure I’d booked accommodation for my next destination! I stayed in tall wooden bungalows then the big bungalow with own terrace and chaise lounge. Both beautiful, charming and peaceful. Thank you 🙏🏼

United Arab EmiratesWonderful small hotel hidden away in the rice fields with magnificent views. Swem and Ilo are really kind and friendly hosts and very helpful. There is a yoga studio on site and swimming pool. The rooms are simply furnished with good bathrooms. There are excellent walks directly from the hotel. It is well located for walking into Ubud.

Netherlandswe loved everything about it (Bear in mind, you can’t come here with a car, only with scooter or by walking)
No words can describe the beauty of this place. You are literally looking at the Campuhan Ridge walk from your balcony. The photos are not giving it back, it’s like jungle wonderland. Staff is amazing , I had the best sleep of my life here (had to ask the owner for the brand of the pillows) and had nice chats with the owner as well :) breakfast was small but nice. My boyfriend saw many many small animals in the jungle, like snakes, squirrels, lizards, but to our surprise NOTHING entered our room :)
