Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenOur room had an occasional odd smell, and some areas could use a few construction improvements. The road leading to the area is quite rocky, so be prepared to either carry your bags or arrange for a pick-up truck right in front. However, this is common across most parts of the island.
Charming stay just a few minutes' walk from the beach, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. From the nearest beach, Mushroom Bay, you can easily catch a boat to and from the main island. The staff were fantastic and even managed to fulfill my last-minute request for flower petals for my partner. They also helped us rent a scooter, making it easier to explore the area. The included breakfast was basic but nice, especially since we had the option to enjoy it on the balcony of our hut.

CanadaThe property needs a some maintenance in the bathrooms and the outdoors. Some lights on the road would be helpful (a backroad to Mushroom beach).
A cute and cozy property. Very close to Mushroom beach. The owner is very helpful, we needed to change our booking and he helped us very swiftly. Lovely outdoor saltwater pool great for swimming, cool little huts. You are in the middle of nature. Breakfast is simple but very good. Very good value for money.

NetherlandsRight next to Mushroom Beach, which is the nicest beach on Nusa Lembongan if you ask me (not too many waves, not too crowded, enough shadow spots). Also the huts were very comfortable, pool is very nice and the owner is very friendly!

SingaporeThere is only a bumpy road to access the hotel. But it's close to the beach and nice restaurants and cafes.
The hut was clean and well-equipped, with a nice pool view. You can rent a bike and Agus the owner is lovely. I would recommend the hotel for a budget-friendly stay in Lembongan.

NorwayThe loos are a bit rustic but this adds to the charm of the place!
Great location, only a stone's throw from Mushroom Bay Beach, a lovely small sandy beach with a good selection of restaurants. The waters here are turquoise. Very picturesque. The Tanis boat from Sanur actually docks here. You just hop out into the water. Making it very easy to reach from Bali. The host Agus is a lovely chilled out man. Very helpful. He arranged our entire trip from Ubud to Nusa Lembongan & back to Denpasar Airport. The huts themselves are lovely. The kids loved coming back every day to a refill of cookies in the jar! Agus also prepared a lovely breakfast of pancakes every morning!

AustraliaNo place is perfect, the only comments we would make is our shower never got very hot, but on a tropical island there’s not much need. Honeybee Huts is at the end of a short section of unsealed road which you’ll get used to in no time on a scooter, it’s all part of the charm on the island :)
What a special little gem these huts are! We booked two huts and stayed for a week. The huts are beautiful, clean, comfortable in a great spot 2 mins walk to the beach. The pool is perfect and each hut has a pool view so you can step from your hut straight to the pool, while it’s shared (6 huts in total) it’s a small number and it always felt like we our own space. Aircon in huts are excellent, beds are very comfortable and a daily supply of the local bakery’s cookies after the room was cleaned was great, our kids knew there’d be a snack as soon as they got back after a day big day out. The standout however was the owner Aggus, who is beyond helpful, he was usually around somewhere if we needed help choosing where to go for the day / recommendations etc. he makes a mean breakfast too.

GermanyThe owner goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful and arranges bike rentals for you . Had a very nice stay and would always come back ! HoneyBee Huts is a hidden gem. When you take the shortcut it is only 10mins to Devils Tear and not to far from Secret Beach either. It is very private as well since there are only 4 huts on the property . It is nice and quiet. I enjoyed my stay alot . Suksma 😊

Agus is the nicest host we’ve met during our vacations in Indonesia. He and his Dad were really caring and helped us with all inquiries we had (laundry, taxi to harbor, ferry to Lombok, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay and were able to extend it for two more nights. The huts are very clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom spacious with warm water. The rooms were cleaned every day and we had free drinking water and cookies in the room. The pool area and garden is beautiful as well. The location is great, only 3 minutes walking distance to Mushroom Bay where you can find a lot of restaurants and beach clubs. This was definitely the best hotel where we stayed - highly recommended 😊

Such a wonderful place. From the mushroom bay where the ferry ends goes a way to the guesthouse maybe about 3 minutes. For the first time we can not find the way on Google Maps. The place is a little paradise far away from the City life so you need a scooter or call a driver to visiting Nusa Lembogan. We would always come back.
