How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing, the place was great!
The place was great. Good internet speed and very friendly staff. Nice shared kitchen and pool with amazing coffee (iced latte with oat milk was the best on the island - in my opinion). Close enough to everything with the peace and quiet of a village. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The hot water runs out fairly quickly.

The best place we could have stayed in Canggu. The room was big, super clean with a comfy bed, the pool was nice, there was filtered water, really good coffees and the staff were the nicest, friendliest most accomodating people we have ever met. We were here working and sight seeing and this place honestly felt so homely, clean and safe. Will be staying here every visit.

Would be great if the TV could slide from the lounge area to the bed area. That would make it perfect. Also, a safe in the wardrobe would be nice and a PowerPoint in the lounge room would be good…there was one there but the wifi unit was taking it. Need a powerboard for other connections. The place also had enough room for a mini fridge so that would also be a great facility to have in these rooms. Staff were really lovely.

Sound proofing is none existent. I can hear noises from neighbors all around.
Great location with coworking space, room is spacious and well equipped. Good value for money.

I don’t think the “coworking” space part is quite accurate. There’s no real office to do calls without intervention and the wifi is not optimal. You can get the same space and wifi in a place that is not announced as coworking

Very week internet in the room (it was fine in the working area though) Noises for other rooms were very loud (I heard other people alarms in the morning)

NOTHING. it was perfect!
PERFECT. Its 2 years old! soooo comfortable and spacious. I could have lived here for months! The staff were soooo friendly. Its in a perfect location. a grab bike was 50p to all the nearby restaurants!!! Finns is just around the corner.

The staff was very friendly. The Internet speed was good. There is a coworking area where you can buy a coffee and work a bit with internet access. Pretty good location, quiet.

the bathroom drainage is a bit weird, every time we took a shower there is always a water pooling around the toilet. the bathroom tiles can be slippery at times.
the room is spacious and the staff is excellent

Rooms were so spacious, they clean everyday, so many good restaurants and cafes near by. the staff are so great. Enjoyed our stay here! Free water and kitchen area to use.

Hot water was a bit intermittent but shower pressure was great.
Good location on a quiet road but in close proximity to the hustle and bustle of Berawa and a short scooter ride to Canggu. Large, clean rooms with a living space and good wifi. Nice shared outdoor kitchen and pool.

Maisaba is located in an excellent area - centrally located where getting to anywhere in Canggu is easy. The rooms were clean and in excellent condition.

A bit hot and humid in the bathroom where the wardrobe is located, so clothes were a bit humid.
Quiet and good for working. Wifi was good. Nice rooms with plenty of space. Very good impression.

the self-help kitchen area was slightly unkempt but that had more to do with fellow guests than hotel staff
it was right opposite a group of friends I was joining for a wedding celebration, so absolutely perfect location. it was basic but offered what I needed, a safe, clean, functional comfortable place to sleep and wash.

Not the property’s fault but there was an extremely loud guest on the until pass midnight and it made impossible for me to sleep. I could hear her from 3 rooms away. it would be good to implement some house rules on this regard

New property in Berawa canggu! Restaurants, Cafes, Warungs and Markets are all in walking distance. Room is very spacious and comfotable. Beautiful pool & big co-working space. Anggi and her team are also very nice people. Ver recommended!
