How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There is nothing we didn’t like about this property .
Very clean . Excellent location . Very close to beach front and all amenities. Staff very helpful and friendly . Loved our stay there and would highly recommend. Excellent value for Money.

Everything was great!
We loved the place and its location. It was really close to the beach, yet in a place where you could not hear all the noise and the music. The bed was comfy, the room and bathroom were big, and everything was clean. We would definitely go back there. Also, if you need laundry services, there's a place right outside that is super convenient. Overall, it was definitely worth it!

Didn't realise I had to pay cash, but it wasn't a problem.
Super close to the beach! Room was clean and mosquito free - which is a big one for me! Had some time to recover all the bite from other place I've stayed at.

Big beautiful room & bathroom, about a 40m walk from the most beautiful beach and all its beachfront cafes and bars! Plus Widi is just wonderful, he helped us with directions and was always nearby when we needed him.

No outlet in the bathroom
Widi is so nice, location is perfect and the Bungalow was really cute and clean. You're almost the feet on the beach and really calm day and night. Nothing I didn't like. Laundry, restaurants 1mn walking.

Great bed, spacious clean room, private table & chair out front, nice hot shower & communal fridge. Easy walk to beach with great snorkeling direct out front at high tide, beautiful coral & fish. We LOVE THIS PLACE!! Widi is lovely and very helpful. The room is large with amazing amenities for the price. It is also in an amazing location in our opinion- 1-2mins walk to the beautiful beach and the boats that take you on snorkel trips and shipwrecked surf break and 1-2mins to the main street where the shops and restaurants are. Widi also provided us a kettle and glasses for us to have our morning coffee ritual. We love this place so much, its the only place we want to stay in Nusa lembongan.

Bathroom basin very high and Bathroom door didn't close properly because timber swelling. Wifi was very slow in room
Widi is beautiful person always willing to go above and beyond even hiring his personal scooter. Cold air conditioning. Very quiet area. Common area fridge to keep drinks cold.

lovely spacious room and bathroom, very clean. Quiet surroundings. Widi, the host, is very friendly and offered to rent scooter. Great location, 2 min walk to the beach. Such great value for money.

nothing. the whole island has spotty internet, that's not the accommodations fault.
Widi was extremely kind and helpful. amazing value for the cost. AC was cold and ceiling fan was nice bonus. big bathroom. short walk to the beach and the main street. Widi had a bike for rent which was great. I'll be staying here again in the future.

There could be breakfast options or tea and coffee available, even if it was in the common areas. This way there could be some socializing among the guests

Would be great if water was offered for refilling my water jug (reducing the need to buy plastic water bottles). Also the option to pay with credit card would really help. The local exchange rates are bad, so paying with a card to avoid changing cash would be great, even if a small fee is charged.
Close to the beach, very clean. Excellent owner. We rented a scooter from him. He offered to take me to the port to get my boat. He lent me a plate and spoon when asked. This is a small homestay, very quiet and in an excellent location. The price is very fair and well worth it.
