Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Great restored art nouveau building with historical significance. Good location - close to Braga Street, restaurants and train station. Lovely staff. Breakfast amazing. Lobby is stunning.

BelgiumWe arrived at a time when apparently a lot of people wanted to check in at the same moment. In that regard, it was pretty busy at the service desk causing a rather long waiting time before we were able to go to our room.
The breakfast is perfect. It's a big buffet in a pleasant space. Although the original Art Deco design might have changed it is still present and grand. Walking through the impressive lobby and seeing the golden (guest) book is a treat for every history buff

Malaysiathe hotel was probably older, and the air conditioning would lose power in the early hours of the morning, and the same thing happened both nights. Caused me to wake up from the heat. The sound insulation effect of the balcony is not particularly good, and the noise of the car driving on the road below is very loud.
The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The variety of breakfast is also very delicious. The staff was great.

SingaporeInternal Communication between front desk and restaurant should have been better. First day for breakfast with additional pax. I was told to pay instead of charge it to the room. Therefore that evening , l went to the front desk to place deposit . The very next morning it happen again. I was told to pay the bill for yesterday breakfast there and pay for today’s breakfast too. They check with the front desk initially and was told that no deposit was made. Till l show them my deposit receipt that was made yesterday. The rest of the next 3 days have no issue anymore. Also, l think there should not be any additional payment for asking additional 1 extra towel.
Breakfast was great. Service at the restaurant was exceptional.

AustraliaThe fridge in the room didn't work, no hand towels in the bathroom and asked reception but didn't fix it until we asked for a third time. Eventually, someone came in after 20 pm to try to check the fridge but we said that we were too tired after 10-hour trips on the train. The bathroom is rusty and big yellow stain mark on the bath. Hot water was hot in the night but a bit warm in the morning but not much pressure.
The facilities such as the courtyard restaurant and cafe have specific characters.

AustraliaPoor communication skills and the hospitality supervisor frowned his face once he found out that I could not speak Indonesian. I had a problem with the laundry service and that made me miss my train. They know that I can not speak Indonesian but still send a person who can not speak English. I told to staff that I wanted to speak with the manager but was not show up.
Most of the staff are welcoming and friendly all the time except for the hospitality supervisor.

United KingdomI stayed at the hotel before. We generally enjoyed our stay however at check in we were told that the swimming pool opens from 7-7. One night we rushed to get back be back at the hotel for a swim at 18:00. However when we arrived at 18:05 we were told that the pool was closed. This is very poor communication as we rushed back from the city centre and take a taxi to get back in time. This needs to improve as we have been told one thing and the reality is something different. Disappointed that management did not address the issue when raised and even after sending an email they did not reply... dissapointing. Despite that we enjoyed every aspect of the hotel.
Great historic hotel. Excellent location. I love the architecture and period features.
