Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLovely, peaceful location. Pretty bungalows with seating area outside. Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast. There’s a short cut if you turn right out of the property and then walk down the hill to a few restaurants.

United StatesThere are not the most food options right in the area other than an Italian place right down the hill and a seafood place we were not brave enough to try given how few people seemed to frequent it (although it was the slow season). Luckily, the host at Sunday Huts rents scooters for a very reasonable rate, so you can drive to restaurants further away.
The location was beautiful! The view of the kelp fields, water, and Ceningan Island from our hut was amazing, and the pool and garden were lovely. We loved that the bed has a mosquito net canopy. Not only was this practical, but it felt really cool. The semi-outdoor bathroom was a nice feature that really grew on us. Breakfast was top-notch each day and prepared fresh. A great stay. I would go again, and I would tell my family and friends to stay here as well.

New ZealandNothing to note
The views of the water, our own a cabin and deck, the pool, the lush surroundings, the friendly staff who accommodated our vegan needs for the free breakfast, the ability to rent a scooter there, the tranquility, the cleanliness and nice touches of filtered water and bar fridge.

Germany- rooms are very dark and lightning in the room is super low - only cold water ( which is refreshing when it’s hot but uncomfortable when it rained and you want to get warm)
- The view is spectacular - staff is helpful when you ask - manager is via what’s app in contact with you and you can organize almost everything through him like boat tickets, from pick up in Bali until the accommodation for fair prices - they cleaned the room everyday - there was a bumpy road towards the accommodation and they fixed it within a few hours -half outdoor bathroom

The view from this property to Nusa Ceningang but also the sea is awesome. You can even see the ocean when laying in bed. The property has a beautiful garden, a lot of plants and a clean pool. The breakfast area is very chill and offers shadow. Our host and all the stuff involved is so helpful, kind and sweet. The location is a great start to go on trips with the scooter that can be rented at the property. The yellow bridge is 2min by scooter. There are a lot of really good restaurants nearby.

ItalyI would not recommend booking the boat transfer with them, we had a problem with it (they literally forgot about us). Fortunetly they found a solution, but it is better if you book transfers by your own
The hotel is amazing, sea view, incredibly beautiful and walking distance to ATM, restaurants and yellow bridge.

AustraliaGreat location to yellow bridge to pop over to Ceningan. Staff were really lovely. Helpful when we needed something done. Hired scootered for 2 days , was easy and great. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. It was lovely sitting out on the verandah in the morning and afternoons. Quiet setting and kids could walk around safely. We felt very relaxed. AustraliaProbably wouldn't stay here again solo. Great place for couples and would be better to have had a bike to see a bit more around the area.
Great place for some relaxation. Room was comfortable and bathroom excellent - hot shower! Power outages were a pain but that was all over the island I think. Tea making facility in room appreciated. Room a bit dark. Pool was sparkling and deckchairs great. The track leading up to the hotel not much fun on foot, ok on a bike, would be terrible in the rain (which it started to do). Close enough to walk over the yellow bridge to Nusa Ceningan.

South AfricaI can't fault a single thing.
We loved our room. Well-appointed, very comfortable bed, great aircon, good water pressure for the shower. Beautiful, well maintained gardens around property with lush greenery wherever you look. Each room has a large balcony from which to enjoy the view over Ceningan and the waterway between the two Islands. ( Every room has a good view as all eight rooms face towards the south ) Breakfast included was really good quality and the best omelet we've had on our trip. The pool was fantastic with perfect temperature to take a break from the heat and cool down over midday. It's worth mentioning that the property is really easy to access as it is on the main tarred road leading to yellow bridge (no need to do off road riding to get there as we have found with some other places around the island, just a short way up the hill from the main road) and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Reception and staff were all super friendly and helpful and will assist with any request you may have, snorkeling trip, motorbike rental, etc. We also found this side of the island a bit cooler, lots of greenery and trees around to keep the temperature slightly down as opposed to the north of the island that is more barren, flat and scorching hot during the day. We were booked for 3 nights, and within half an hour, after arriving, we canceled our next booking back in bali and moved our return date on the ferry so we could stay two more nights. I wish we could have stayed longer! 10/10

United StatesThe breakfast selection was minimal so I ended up going out to get breakfast a few days to switch it up. The location wasn't the most ideal because it was on the other side of the island from the strip so you have to be able to drive a motorbike to get around. The positive of that was I got to know the island super super well.
I loved how serene and peaceful this property was. It was tucked away and had a beautiful view overlooking the water - I loved waking up every single morning to that view! Not too many people staying here at once so usually had the pool to myself. The staff was super friendly and available whenever I needed them. SUCH a good price for the room quality and what you get with this property.

United KingdomThe view from the room was so beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, for the price it really had everything you need. We rented a bike from the hotel, who have them on site so we didn't have to wait around for one, so could get everywhere that we needed to. There were some restaurants in walking distance though, and the bay to get over to Penida was very close by, as was the bridge over to Ceningan.
