Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandParking was hard to locate around the hotel. Hotel car park is very small so we used the other car park, we found that car park hard to locate at first as there was a lot of traffic when we arrived but it’s actually just behind the hotel.
Location was fantastic, very close to Live at the Marquee only walking distance away. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to us. Breakfast was average and the rooms had everything you would need.

United KingdomOnly slight grumble was that basic consumables such as tea, coffee, milk etc weren’t replenished each day (unless full room refresh requested) without having to specifically ask for them. Also cups and tumblers weren’t replaced with clean items unless we asked. Poor given the room price charged.

IrelandThere isn't anything to gripe about. It was good comfortable stay. Good value for money in a great location!
A great location just on the North side of city centre over looking the River Lee and Port of Cork. It's in walking distance of most sites in Cork City, the buss & train station as well. The timing of our stay worked out so that we can see the Cork Marathon and the Dragon Boat races from our room!

IrelandThe price (242e for a single Saturday night, without breakfast I might add) was a bit steep for the room type. You can go for an entire week to some Eastern European countries for that kind of money.
Have stayed at this particular hotel before. Only a short 10-15min walk to Cork Kent Station and into the city centre, so it's fairly well located. Did not have any food, so can't speak about that. Double room was a good size, one double bed and one single bed. Bed was comfy indeed. Standard facilities with kettle, iron, etc. Bathroom features bathtub & shower. I'd recommend overall, but they might want to review their pricing strategy or at least include breakfast as standard.

IrelandThe bed in the room was hard very uncomfortable. The rooms are in no way sound proof - our room was right across from lift on 3rd floor and across from the vending machine - quite loud until after 2am. The road noise was also extremely loud with window closed. After 2am it quietened.
The staff were all so friendly polite upbeat and helpful. The hotel was spotless clean and the breakfast was excellent. Huge range of choices food in hot buffet was fresh and hot.

United KingdomHad been requested to Check-in on line. Delighted, as I had a very short turn-around before my first engagement. The system would not recognise my Booking details so it was not possible. I contacted the Headquarters and was assured that they would have a note left with my Booking at Reception to ensure a swift Check-in. No one at Reception was aware of the "note" and I spent almost 15 minutes at Reception, arising from which I was late for my first engagement. I stayed here some years previous with the earlier owners. I noted that it was only the Name of the Hotel that changed.
Location and very good breakfast.

United StatesThis property has the single most stupid thing I’ve ever encountered. The door stop in the bathrooms (I’ve been in multiple rooms) is placed so one will stub and possibly break a toe when using the toilet.
The staff was the kindest most helpful people I’ve ever met.

United KingdomVery noisy junction for traffic, so although we prefer to sleep with some ventilation from an open window, it was really deafening as traffic decelerated and accelerated at a multi-lane junction right outside our corner bedroom. On both mornings we were there, international guests were making very loud mobile calls in breakfast room. This seemed incredibly rude and inconsiderate to everyone else - no consideration for other people needing time to 'come to' slowly in the morning, or of using a headset so we didn't have to hear the other party coming through on loudspeaker, and just massively dominating a public space. I would have appreciated some notices asking guests to move aside to an adjacent lounge/bar just to make a show of respecting our audio space...THis wouldn't have even necessitated moving 'out' to another room, as bar area was not through a door, or in another room, but would have been a moving to side, away from in the midst of all of us trying to talk quietly over our cornflakes! My bedding was incredibly heavy! I am no flyweight myself, but I could hardly move under my quilt. I did ask at reception if they had a summer-weight quilt. They didn't. So the second night I replaced the duvet with a towel and slept much better!
Location for having a little wander round city was great, but mostly we were being collected by family and taken out of city. Handy for bus station link to airport. Lovely view over river from room, and also the nest of a crow in a tree outside our window! We arrived late, and were able to get food well after 10pm in the bar. Really great friendly, helpful service with a smile. Breakfast: DIetary needs - item I needed for breakfast had run out, but was kindly fetched from kitchen. Competent friendly staff

AustraliaI would have liked a mini-bar fridge in the room.
Nicely refurbished, cosy rooms and a good kitchen/bar downstairs. Excellently placed location, though there are still some less-than-savoury characters who frequent the backstreets. Lovely staff. Fast lifts!
