Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandDefinitely want to be prepared with cosy clothes; warm pyjamas and slippers because the heat wasn’t on 24/7 as there’s a limited amount of gas to heat the cabin. But once you have all the warm clothes you’re laughing. Can’t fault the place at all.
From start to finish, absolutely fantastic! Such a beautiful location. So peaceful and an amazing place to chill and relax. Ruth was so kind and accommodating. We went hiking up the comeragh mountains about half an hour away and we were given a lovely breakfast the morning we were going. Full of homemade food like bread and granola. Ruth was very knowledgeable about the area which was great for us. Early in the mornings, there were wild deer outside the cabin which was so beautiful to see. Everything was very eco friendly. Thank you so so much for having us. Can’t wait to come back!

United KingdomThe weather – but that can't be helped. Didn't like the fact we had to leave either – would happily stay here again!
Incredible setting and views of the Nire Valley/Knockmealdown Mountains. Ideally placed for us between family in Cashel and the coast at Dungarvan. The warmest welcome for us... and the dog. A very well-appointed room, en suite, and outdoor kitchen facilities – including fridge/electric cool box! And the morning breakfast deliveries were a joy.

IrelandOur stay was absolutely wonderful purely because we stayed there. Even the awful weather couldn't change how relaxed and happy we felt during our stay. Dogs are allowed and we had a great time with our dog. Ruth is a wonderful and warm host. I cannot do her justice. Every single thing is thought through. The homemade breakfast was absolutely divine, and served straight to our door at an agreed time. The bed was very comfortable. The studio is really well insulated and we were warm enough despite dropping temperatures outside. We loved the simplicity of the place, no fuss, just what you need. The views from the studio were fabulous, leading to the mountain and also to the field where the studio is located, which allowed us to see deer every night and rabbits during the day. The electric candles and the table and chairs by the huge side window allowed us to have a romantic dinner. We loved cooking outside (but still protected from the rain). Everything - big and small - on the property is carefully thought through with the environment in mind, Ruth did an excellent job creating this wonderful place with little impact on nature. Everything was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to go back.

This accommodation is in a beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful. Bed was super comfy and we slept so well. Plenty of room in the cabin and lovely and warm too. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. It was really nice to have no TV for a few days and just enjoy the surroundings and countryside, it’s stunning. Ruth is a very friendly, helpful host. Great to chat too. And she provides a most amazing breakfast including her homemade bread. Would definitely recommend a stay at Nire Valley Eco Camp.

ItalyI guess washing dishes outdoors under the rain was a bit challenging, but it’s a small price to pay to respect such high standards of sustainability.
An outstanding location with beautiful cabins, both externally and internally. You feel looked after the whole time, and totally spoilt at breakfast time with fresh eggs, pancakes, amazing still warm bread etc. The best part was just relaxing and watching nature (deer, hares…).

United KingdomMy experience at Nire Valley Eco Camp was amazing!! The cabins are very homly and cosy. They are in beautiful fields surrounded by wildlife. You might even spot some deer. The shower and bathroom is great as well. You also have some cookware with a gas hob. This is for the amazing breakfast you get every morning. We got fresh bread, smoked salmon and got to make our own pancakes!! The scenery around Nire valley is amazing and there is so much to do from the copper coast to the mahon falls. Lastly Ruth is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. She will answer any questions you may have and is very accommodating if you need anything. Also her dogs are lovely as well. Not one bad word about Nire Valley Eco Camp. Could not get any better. Extremely recommended!

EstoniaIf you plan to visit Ireland and you want to see the nature, enjoy the quietness / peacefulness - this is the place you will be looking. It is minimalistic, but at the same time, everything you need, is there. Cooking is outside - but even if it rains, there is a roof still protecting you and the food. And what a lovely breakfast the host served us - just wonderful. All natural and/or homemade - and freshly baked bread oven warm! - in how many places can you get something like this?!
