Being the first room off the common space you can hear people if they're noisy. We did actually receive our combination to our room correctly, but our email told us we were in the room next door so only some difficulties when we arrived

Everything was recently remodeled and looks really great. Lovely little kitchen/common space that had fresh baked muffins and some other snacks available. Easy to get in and easily walkable through town. The host was also very friendly and helpful and makes sure breakfast items stay stocked

Unusual smell in guesthouse and we didn’t get the exact room we booked.

The room was average and unfortunately was not the room we booked (was meant to have a desk in it). The guesthouse had an unusual smell but overall it was clean. Great location and the receptionist was lovely.

The room and the bathrooms were clean. Our room had a sink in it which helped in the morning to brush our teeth, when everyone uses the bathroom. There was a small kitchen in our house which was clean too

We sometimes washed the dishes before using them.

Very good location: Calm but still near the supermarket and the lake. Ideal to visit Dimmuborgir, Hverir and Krafla. Taking the shoes off at the entrance keeps the corridor and rooms clean. Simple building (probably earthquake-safe) with corridors of ca. 4 rooms sharing kitchen and bathrooms. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen agreeable, with table for 4 and a large Icelandmap, and made us relax after slippery but scenic walks to waterfalls, lava and steam. We were happy to get a room close to the parking.

Satnav couldn’t find the place, it took us to the wrong house. There are signs, but if you arrive in the dark, as we were, you can’t see the signs.

We found there were enough bathrooms for us, but only 2 of the 4 rooms were full. If all 4 were full, the 2 bathrooms probably wouldn't be enough. The same with the kitchen area, it was fine for 5 people sharing, but it would have been small if the other two rooms were full.

We booked last minute as we were unable to get to our other accommodation, but the place was nice. Comfortable warm room with our own sink and nice views out the window. Bathrooms and kitchen were also clean, and kitchen was well equipped.

One thing to note is that there are few toilets for the number of people. Where we were, there were four rooms - 10 people - and two bathrooms. So in the morning, if people are showering and you need to use the toilet, it can be uncomfortable. My party ended up leaving a day early through no fault of the guesthouse - and I completely understand that they didn't refund our stay but I was disappointed that they did not refund the prepaid breakfast for the second morning when we weren't there. While there is certainly no obligation for them to refund breakfast, it would have been great customer service if they had done so.

The location of this place is great, just a block or two from the lake. The reception staff are very friendly and the breakfast was probably the best one we had in the two weeks were were in Iceland.

Very good place for a guesthouse!

Very nice guesthouse! Clean and quite. The flats have 2 rooms for up to 3 people each and one shared bathroom. Minimum interaction with other people. Breakfast was tasty, we felt that owners care about their guests. Very like our stay!

Only 2 bathrooms for sharing among 11-12 guests; should consider to have the WC and the Bathroom separated. Also the hair dryer is inside the bathroom makes it a long wait during peak hours
