Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I like the convenience of the location, the room is a decent size and they provide free ice cream for the onsen, yakult drink and soba in the evening. Parking is also easy.

SingaporeThere are only 1 pillow for each of us, so we need to go to receptionist and get another pillow each. It would be good if each bed could have 2 pillows. I think there were 2 housekeeping lady, working on different days. 1 of them were very good and help to throw the plastic bag full of rubbish away but the other one did not. So we have to put the rubbish outside the room for them to clear. The breakfast was good, with variety of food but it would be good if they could change some menu after few days cos I stayed for 9 days and ate the same breakfast everyday.
The staff were polite and greeted us with a smile when we checked in. I am glad that they have staff who could speak some simple English. The free Ramen, ice cream, drinks and stuffs were very nice and value for money. I could go online to get queue number when the breakfast Restaurant were full of people, very useful. I could wait in my room and go down when it was time. The hotel was near to fushimi train station, need to walk down through the underground street to go to the train station. Beware that the underground will be closed on Sunday, so would have to find another way to get to train station. The onsen was good but the outdoor pool at ladies onsen was rather small and could only at most accommodate 2 ladies at the same time. The washing machine was good and free of charge. Only need to pay for the dryer which was 300 yen, very good and value for money. Thank you for the good service provided.

JapanAs I mentioned earlier, the onsen was great but I would have liked to use it from 10-11 before the check out time but they closed at 10.
I liked the onsen but I think they should let us use the facility in the morning after 10 before the 11 o'clock check out time. Other than that the food was great and the facility was very very comfortable. My husband smokes and he said the smoking area was better in Chiba but I guess there are not many smokers these days so I think the space was adequate.

Room was great and breakfast was excellent. Bit of a walk from the main rail station but it's next to a metro stop. Having the washing machines available was very handy.

United States of AmericaJust little salty for soup to free night time noodles. Other than this, all great.
The location was great. Not too close to crowds, but walkable distance to Oasis 21 and the TV Tower. So does the Nagoya station. Of course, I would suggest to take Uber if you cannot walk a lot. Uber/taxi costs about YEN 950 (~USD 6) to Nagoya station from hotel. Of course, subway will be another option, which I didn't stay long enough to try. People around were very friendly. Foods around was great and cheap. The streets were clean. Nagoya City Science Museum is nearby and nice to take picture outside too. We drove. So, all site-seeing places are all easy to access. Find parking is easy around. Parking for hotel is on the side to same building. Very convenience. Onsen was great. I love the outdoor one with fresh air too.

AustraliaAlthough the hotel has a plain, business like feel, it was a great place to stay in Nagoya. The room was the biggest I had in Japan with plenty of room to lay down luggage. The onsen was really good, and often really busy. I walked almost everywhere and the hotel was one stop from Nagoya station. For convenience I caught a taxi there on the say of departure and it was around 700 yen.

JapanWhat's not to like about this hotel?
I love the Dormy Inns--they always have nice little touches, like a free ice cream when you get out of the bath, or a free bowl of ramen before you go to bed. This one is located in downtown Nagoya, convenient enough to the nightlife, but still far enough away so that you can get a good night's sleep. There was also a free manga library and washing machines, and even a free jelly waiting for you in the fridge. Love it.

SingaporeHaving to take a taxi from and to Nagoya Station. It would be nice if Dormy Inn could provide a shuttle service from and to the station.
We enjoyed the hotspring onsen, the free ice cream, yacult and ramen. There was free coffee at the lobby the whole day and free cold drinks after 3 pm. The hotel provides a fantastic breakfast. The streets nearby come alive at night with many eateries. Sakae station is about 10 minutes walk away and its underground shopping streets sell better quality stuff such as ladies' clothings.
