Walking to the center is a long way down the hill and along a busy street with barely any sidewalk. You'd have to take a taxi or an Uber. It is a 10 min drive though, so not so bad. It would have been nice to have a store or a coffee shop nearby to get a snack. There is no dining at the hotel, but there is a restaurant at the hotel next door.

The location is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood, the view from the top was amazing. A nice infinity pool and jacuzzi. The room was big and comfortable.

It's somewhat remote from restaurants and the beach if you don't have your own car which we did. They did say they'll round trip transport you to Conchas Chinas beach or nearby if needed.

Beautiful view of Banderas Bay from the rooftop swimming pool. Enjoyed visiting with the friendly staff. Our room was great.

Distance from restaurants was a challenge and cabs were necessary to get up and down extremely steep streets.

It was a great little find in Puerto Vallarta. Nice small hotel located on the top of the hillside just outside of the centre of town. Fantastic views from our room and the roof top pool and hot tub. Room had a full kitchen which was great when you did not feel like travelling down the hill for a meal. Great customer service from the staff especially the manager Sergio.

There is no public transit on the steep road leading to the hotel, so unless you are a mountain goat, be prepared to take taxis or Ubers, which are not expensive. It was well worth it to have such an impressive view.

The views are amazing, it’s quiet and peaceful. Sergio, the manager, is very friendly and helpful and goes out of his way to ensure guests are well cared for. The seventh floor pool area has absolutely stunning views and is never crowded so it is possible to get a comfortable chaise lounge.

No food! Mediocre coffee in lobby. No working jacuzzis except for the roof. Mondavi needs to update their site to reflect this. I read multiple reviews and the jacuzzis have not worked for about 3-4 years! Some units can see in on others. Easy fix. No cleaning supplies in unit. A raggedy kitchen towel and bath mat. We were falsely accused of breaking an elevator button. Ridiculous. Really soured our stay. Needed a spit shine in our room. Crumbling window sills and broken window blinds.

Very quiet with sensational vistas. Staff was accommodating. Large room. Decent mattress. Nice fridge. Good microwave.

Quiet, incredible views in an up and coming (but still mid-renovation) property.

The hotel is a jewel past its prime - It is clear that the owners are working towards renovating this beautiful lady back to her former glory. The rooms have so much potential - and the 2-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and private jacuzzi we got to experience for a night would be an incredible place for a family or group of friends to stay, as long as you aren't traveling with high maintenance people (if so, quadruple your budget and stay next door). As this is located up (and I mean UP!!) the side of a mountain, your food options are limited. The closest is next door at the Grand Miramar (and down the hill aways to the Azul Hotelito Boutique Restaurant and Bar - totally worth it!) There are several order-in options, but plan to do a bit of Ubering (cheaper than a taxi, usually less than $5 USD to get down to the Old City - you won't want to walk up the hill, even if you walk down). The studios don't really have a "kitchenette," as they don't have a stovetop, so keep that in mind when planning meal budgeting because cooking isn't an option. There are regularly taxis coming and going from the Grand Miramar, so they are easy to catch if you don't mind the expense... Ubers are sometimes hesitant to come pick you up, causing more waiting than necessary. Getting an Uber to take you home at the end of the night was rarely a problem. The hotel's advertised shuttle to the beach club wasn't quite what we expected and never used it. There IS parking available at the property if you opt to rent a car.

The staff was awesome: Very laid back, no hard sales pitch on any tourist activities. Accommodating and friendly. The VIEW is amazing - the cobblestone road up the mountain to reach the property pays off when you can see the entire bay and enjoy a private sunset. The small pool and hot tub were an incredible way to end a day - watching whales breach from the edge of the infinity pool was more than I could ask for!

Other than an elevator that didn't work, there were no major problems. There's no restaurant at or nearby the hotel, but I bought food from OXXO and ate in restaurants around Centro and Zona Romantica.

This hotel has an infinity pool and hot tub on its rooftop that overlooks the ocean, making for beautiful sunsets for a fraction of the cost of the nearby Grand Miramar hotel. It might take a long time to reach the top of the hill where the hotel is, but it's worth the view. Because there wasn't always someone at the front desk, I requested that a staff member be present at 3:30 am for early check-out (as I had a 6 am flight). The staff member went above and beyond, knocking on my door and offering to book a taxi for me. ¡Gracias por la hospitalidad!
