We were staying in a self-catering villa, which means you can bring your own food and drinks to consume at the establishment. We ate and drank at the restaurant which is by the pool and when my friends came to visit I took my drink to greet them and they charged a corkage fee. It makes no sense and apparently even if you want to sit at the pool with a meal prepared at the villa they will charge you for it. I think it was really unfair. Also the wi-fi isn't good in the rooms which should be improved because the whole area in general has bad network

The place is super beautiful and really nice view. It is perfect to get away from the busy town, the food is amazing and priced very well, just needs a better dessert menu. Overall it was such a lovely stay, I recommend it highly, no wi-fi at the rooms though.

The beach was great. The food was excellent. The staff and management were efficient and very helpful. Boat crew were excellent It was a lovely experience.

The access to the beach is not great for elderly or walking impaired. Otherwise it was super!

The view was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of seating in the villa and the beds comfy. The restaurant food was great too. The pool was lovely. Nice gardens too. Very easy to get to from airport and they arrange airport transfers.

The kitchen needs updated equipment. And the dishes were quite filthy. We had to wash everything before we used it. Would have been nice to have dish soap to do that. Not sure staff even used soap to clean our dishes.

What a great resort. The team at Archipelago Resort was so wonderful - a special shout out to Karen, Vasco and Stephen who took care of us during the week we were there. It was my son's birthday while we stayed there and they went the extra mile to make sure he had a special meal that evening. And the food was out of this world! Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a beautiful spot with excellent food. Simple accommodations, but great for two families to stay at.

The location is not ideal if you are not driving and have to use taxi which can be costly I think this needs to be made clear to visitors at booking.

Great location, amazing beach, Arlindo is great with customers and very attentive.

That the beach was so high up from the resort. It is also not as wheelchair friendly as presented. The wheelchair could not be used on the sandy road to the cabin and to reception. The slope used to the beach was very steep and struggeling with recovery from a knee operation prevented me to go onto the beach as often as I would have liked. I only managed to get down there once.

The fact that the phone number of the lodge is not on the website and one has to email Zimbabwe. Communication is very slow. The chalets were a bit too basic for me but I understand that families bring everything. A small shop on-site stocking basics would be very handy as obtaining groceries left behind is an expensive trip if you don't have a car. Wifi can be improved.

I loved the setting. The restaurant and pool area was good and Zildo who runs the bar and restaurant was excellent. The reception staff were lovely.

The taxi fare into town was quite a lot, especially for SA citizens.

The resort was lovely. Priscilla and Kirsty were super helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. The gardens were beautiful and the Casas well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The food was also very good. For trips to the islands, we used Sunset Dhow and Wild Africa. Not to be missed is a horseride on the beach with Mozambique Horse Safaris - really outstanding

House is not updated; everything is open. Kids have lots of musquito bites. Nights were not good. Paid way to much (over 200 dollar) for this kind of room! Management has not responded unfortunatly. Better places in Vilankulo available! Go to Beach Lodge Vilanculos

Internet connectively doesn't work from the cottages, but this was good for me to unplug :) Good wifi in the restaurant area.

Absolutely amazing staff. I felt so well taken care of! They really went out of their way to help me get sorted for everything I needed. A big thank you to the PADI dive masters as well for helping me get some amazing days of diving despite bad weather! Gorgeous facilities, great food, breathtaking views. Quiet beach, I often had it to myself. Such a special place.

If is a little further out of town so add extra budget for getting to shops. Would have been nice to have a service where you can order things like fresh bread daily.

The manager Priscilla really went the extra mile to help with everything she could, including a tricky passport situation. Absolutely great. Good food and very nice all around facility, but the service and kindness of Priscilla and her staff is really what we'll remember.
