Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe ease of access, hospitality, cleanliness, and theme of the room were all aspects that I thoroughly enjoyed. In particular, I found the location to be optimum, with proximity to the nearby super store, bus station, and Delft station.

GermanyDe Droomhut is a very nice and well-equipped accommodation, perfectly situated for anyone wanting to explore Delft, Den Haag and Rotterdam. The hosts were very helpful - even when I had a problem with my car on the day of departure! Just perfect - thanks again!

United States of AmericaNot really dislike but, the stairs up to the first-floor apartment were somewhat long and steep (even for Europe) but good lighting and handrails, so just something to be aware of.
Across the road/canal from apartment in friendly village of Den Hoorn were restaurants and great shopping street with supermarket, bakery, greengrocer, drug store; everything we needed for eight-night stay in apartment. A very short walk in other direction was Delft city limit and access to bus stop with inexpensive frequent service to Delft train station. The apartment itself was spacious with bathtub and shower (!), kitchenette, dining table, comfortable chairs and couch, comfortable bed and good lighting and shelves. The host was very welcoming but not intrusive and spoke excellent English. Good cable TV and Internet.

HungaryCould have used a bath mat, but nothing big.
Location: bike rental, restaurants, and groceries nearby, Delft just a 10-minute ride away. Free old bikes to use from the host (and nearby bike rental was 8 EUR per bike per day).

LithuaniaWiFi could have been a little bit better. Some problems with disconnection at some interval, but this may have been the problem of my device.
Everything was perfect. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Place is good, a bit far from the center by foot, but free bikes are available, which allow you to reach center in approx 15-20 min.

SingaporeOnce or twice, the neighbouring unit might turn on the TV at a higher volume and some muffled noise is heard in my unit. As they turn off their TV by 9pm, and it is tolerable, I did not complain to the host.
This is my 3rd stay at De Droomhut. Pl see my earlier 2 reviews for other aspects about the property and Den Hoorn. The host Christel provided very friendly and prompt service. She fulfilled my requests (early check in, change in check in time, more toilet rolls, more coffee bags, etc) promptly and always with a smile, and without making a fuss. She is flexible, friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. Although this is a B&B, the 3 units offered for rent are not part of her home. The host and her family stay in the front building facing Tramkade and the canal (the picture you see in booking . com). These 3 units for rent are in a 'stand alone' building at the back, with it's own entry/exit, and all situated on the 1st floor (i.e. one level above the ground floor). I only met the tenants in the other rooms once, when we both arrived at the same time. One of the things that made me choose this property 3 times is that the kitchenett is within my unit and I do not need to share it with others, no problem with other tenants leaving unwashed utensils or cutlery around or taking my food in the refrigerator. I did not need to share any facility with the host and her family. I had all the privacy. When I first came across this property, I was worried about the distance to Delft. To my delight, from the back gate, it is a 4 min walk to the bus stop (Schoolstraat, Den Hoorn bus stop), and all 3 buses (no. 33, 37 and 455) go to Delft train-bus station, and the ride takes 7 min, costing E1.40. There are 3 to 4 buses each hour. Bus 455 goes to TU Delft (where I was attached to for short term). The ride takes 12 min, costing E1.70. Cycling to TU Delft takes 20 min. Den Hoorn is a very pleasant town, with parks/ woods dotted with canals within 6 min walk from the B&B. If I visit Delft again, I would surely stay at De Droomhut again.

This is the second time I stay here, but in a different room. This room is bigger than an apartment. There is a comfortable sitting area. It has many shelves & racks, but no cupboard. The Smart TV can be mirrored from my notebook. Kitchen has necessary things. The hostess is prompt, answers my questions accurately. I would stay here again.

SingaporeNothing.
Christel is a wonderful host. She replies my messages clearly and fulfills my requests. She was flexible with check-in, going above and beyond to get the room ready for my early arrival. When the taxi driver lost his way because he did not key in the full address, she provided instructions to him over the phone twice. Thereafter, she looked out for the taxi and rushed to the road to direct us to the B&B. The room is quiet and peaceful. The kitchenette is adequate to cook simple meals. There are sufficient power outlets to charge my 3 electronic devices. The Smart TV takes HDMI cable. I did not try the bluetooth - perhaps it can accept that too. The internet strength is good enough for whatsapp video call, but tend to be iffy for Zoom meetings. The mattress is soft. Den Hoorn is 3.5km from Delft train/bus station, and has 3 buses to Delft. The bus ride is 8 minutes. There is also a bus that goes from Den Hoorn to TU Delft (10 minute ride). There is a supermarket that takes foreign credit/debit card, bakery, cheese specialty shop, butcher, etc within 5-minute walk. The laundry shop (limited opening days and short hours) is 10 minute walk away. I leave my laundry there and the kind lady puts it in washer, transfers to dryer and folds the clothes. I collect a few hours later. Den Hoorn is surrounded by many peaceful parks. I would stay at De Droomhut again.

ItalyIf you are used to sleeping on slightly harder mattresses, you will find it difficult to fall asleep on a bed that is soft enough. It's a matter of habit. Everything else is OK
Everything was really perfect. I stayed really well, lovely and quiet place...The kitchen has everything you need for one person. The owners are very welcoming people. I was helped on the first night at 10 p.m for a small inconvenience with the microwave. I have changed towels twice and was offered the opportunity to use the bike for free (never used unfortunately because a little high for my short stature).
