Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThe pillows were not good for me, but maybe it was a personal taste. The bin inside the bathroom was not empty when I arrived, but I asked the reception and it was promptly done.
Simple room but comfortable, good bathroom and shower. The location was good for what I need - visiting Arena - it's a bit far, but there's easy public transport access. It's a nice location in Amsterdam to stay out of the centre, with many public transport access.

AustriaVery clean, they cleaned every day and changed towels. Hotel is next to highway but it's quite with the window shut. It's very basic hotel but serves the purpose of sleeping in a clean place and being close to transport or a bike ride to the city center.

GermanyAt first, we got a room pointing to the glass-roofed courtyeard with the gym. Thus, it wasn't possible to open the window at all. There was also only a simple air conditioner to cool the room but not provide fresh air. I can only image how horrible the nights would have been with three adults and an ever decreasing amount of oxygen. Thankfully, there was another room with real windows available (that one could open a bit) and the staff rebooked us without hesitation. However, the first room shouldn't be rented out like this at all.
The staff was super friendly and the breakfast really good (thanks!). It takes about 25 minutes to get to the main station by tram but the next station is near and frequently serviced. The hotel offers good value for the money.

CanadaIt is located within a 15-minute walk from a train station (Lelylaan), a metro (Henk Sneerewitweg) and bike sharing (Donkey Rep and OV fiets). I used train, metro and the Donkey Rep bike. All went really well. I also went to Radion and biked back at night, less than 10 min and felt safe.

The location of the hotel was not central, but it was in good neighborhood. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was cozy.

SwitzerlandIt seems for the same type of rooms, the space and structure can be very different. We were allocated with a room with super tiny washing room, which is completely different from the photo. After request, we were changed to another one, which is much better. Price is quite high, but it seems to be the standard in Amsterdam.

United KingdomThe evening diner did not meet my expectations in term of variety of food (same menu all nights, one time the desert pie was unfrozen) and its low attendance by the clients of the hotel, which makes it less profitable. It felt a bit lonely at time but I met nice people to talk to in the end. The cook and server during the week days was more competent and talented than those during the week end.
breakfast was good and bedroom was comfortable and quite. I like the bathroom shower too. The location was close to the tram and also to the metro, which makes travelling easy to town centre and other parts of Amsterdam.

Czech RepublicRoom was clean however the cleaning lady didn't fill in the soap tank during the whole stay. The bartender was weird - we wanted to have some coctails in the evening so I asked him for the menu. He said they don't have any menu and if I name any coctail he needs to figure out how to prepare it. Then he asked us to not ask him for any coctail. I guess he can serve only beer and shots :)
Location of the hotel is fine - there is a tram stop about 400m that gets you very easily to the city centre. Overall the hotel was ok for the money. I was a bit surprised how expensive hotels in Amsterdam are in comparison to other European cities (mainly German ones - Berlin, Frankfurt etc.). This one was ok in price but you need to pay for anything extra. Parking was for 25 eur, breakfast for 17 eur per person. Hotel restaurant offered "all you can eat" type of buffet dinner. At the end it is cheaper and you have decent selection of food but you cannot select from menu. Room was clean and fine. The bed was too soft for me.
