The first room was loud and hot. But we were moved thankfully. The parking is a decent walk away and very tight.

The staff at the front desk went above and beyond. Truly great service. The breakfast was nice, and the house bar cosy, again fantastic service and staff.

I arrived late and the front door was locked with no one down on the reception desk. Wasn't clear how to manage a late arrival. Would be good if the phone number I called diverted to a mobile of the manager on duty... rather than having to wait from them to come back down from delivering room service.

The room was great. Really cool styling, comfy bed and nice and quite on the night I stayed. Good location. - easy access to the city. Great bar to grab a drink at the end of the day.

The step into the bathroom, I kept tripping on it.

Solo traveller for the first time and flew through the door running late to schedule. The staff who greeted me was wonderful, calmed me down and upgraded my room and gave me 2 free drink ( fizzy)vouchers . The young lady in the restaurant went out of her way to get me all sorted with food, as well as an ice bucket for my warm fizzy. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I felt safe

Very small note but the layout of the bathroom was a bit tight. if you're using the bathtub there's no grip floor mat so stepping out on the bath mat was slippery and bit of a hazard.

Room was comfy and clean. Breakfast was great although we had dietary requirements that only allowed for 1 option ("Yes, vegan") it was delicious and well worth popping down to the house kitchen. Bed was comfy and it was surprisingly quiet over a weekend despite being on a busy street with a concert playing near by.

The most wonderful stay! Can't rate this hotel highly enough. Location is completely central, can walk everywhere. Hotel is so quiet despite city location. Shout out to Pranav on Reception who was so helpful and efficient.

Car parking is not available. Booking.com didn't warned me about it while booking. It's your oversighr! If Alvaro didn't find a working solution for me I would have canceled the booking and went to a different hotel with a parking option.

Decor of the room and bathroom is exceptional. Furniture is carefully chosen - refined, tasteful. High quality of toiletries and bar food selection. Attention to a detail. Well groomed reception staff. Special thanks to Alvaro. He dealt with a car parking issue with utmost professionalism. Chef at the restaurant prepared delicious 5 star breakfast. Bed is very comfortable. Bedding is superb. Quiet room, no noises from the busy City Business District. A similar experience like in the best boutique hotels in the heart of Milan, Florence and Paris. I finally found a European experience in New Zealand. I will book this hotel again if I have a need to escape from boredom of absolute tastelessness of modern living.

The carpet was a little dated and threadbare in patches. An issue with the parking caused a delay.

The staff were extremely helpful. Due to my parking issue I was given two hotel vouchers for use at the bar. House keeping were required for a minor issue and were very prompt. The bar manager was very helpful and courteous. I love the boutique style and location.

There was an issue that the hotel hadn't received the booking from booking.com De Bretts sorted this for us without any issue

Everything was exception from the double glazing windows to the perfect decor that truly made the hotel/room wonderful. Having NZ made items available in the mini bar was a nice touch.

I would advice against eating in the restaurant in the first floor. It's independant from the hotel, but the quality of the meals served are more ore less mediocre.

Beautiful heritage decor, the hotel is small and boutique. It is situated close to everything in mid town. The restaurants, bars, shops and art gallery are on the doorstep. It has a luxury feel, beautiful tiled bathroom which deep bath, gorgeous full-size toiletries. There are a selection of teas and coffees. The bed is sumptuous, best ever.

The Reception was both welcoming and accommodating. First time to stay here but had seen photos prior. Room was exceptional, clean, quiet and wonderful. The bed was one of the comfiest we have ever slept in. House Bar relaxing. Breakfast good size portion and coffee delicious. Overall well worth the stay. We have two more trips booked, can't wait.
