The luggage storage was in the building which is only accessible with a key. As the reception closes over lunch for 2 hours, you need a bit of luck and someone to open the door for you if you need to leave right then (which we had, so it turned out fine).

The place had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The location was great, everything we needed was in easy walking distance and also the main tourist attractions in the city center are accessible by foot.

Bathroom sensor light sometimes went off when showering at night.

Great kitchen setup, spacious community areas, spacious single room with desk, laundry facilities. Bathroom was clean. Good hot water showers. Able to leave bag in secure storage. Able to pick up a free SIM card at foyer. Location was good for transport, food options, walkable to city & SkyDrive coach.

The hostel is spread out over 2 buildings, so your room might be in a separate building to the kitchen/lounge – not a big deal though!

Amazing hostel, great location within walking distance to the CBD and overlooking a pretty park. Really helpful and welcoming staff. It is a super clean hostel, the kitchen is huge and very well-equipped. Good vibes as most people here are either starting or ending their trip in NZ – really easy to get to know people. It's not a party hostel but it's definitely a social one. Ended up extending my stay for 2 more weeks! Would 100% recommend to others :)

Kitchen is in a separate building, so I had to dash through the cold autumn mornings to brew a morning mug of tea. But that's nitpicking, really. Everything was great.

Cosy hostel in a rustic terraced house. Everything clean, comfortable bed, spacious and well equipped kitchen, and comfy common spaces. Plus a nice garden in the back, overlooking the West Park, and with a view at the Sky Tower. Great location (close to Karangahape Road with bars, food joints, and small shops), some 15 mins walking distance to the CBD, and 30 mins by foot to the Wharf. Also easily accessible by bus. Efficient and helpful staff. In short, everything was great. :)

One of the best accommodations I’ve ever had. The place is really pretty, the dorms are really spacious, the location is great and for a solo traveler the common areas (kitchen, dining and stay are) are perfect for socializing and meeting other travelers. On top, the staff is super friendly and helpful. What else to ask for?

toilet sensor goes off pretty quickly but just a small matter.

Area was rather quiet and peaceful for a good night's rest, great location. Friendly staff and clean toilets. There's a supermarket just 5 min walk away and a nice park next to the lodge. kitchen isn't always crowded, plenty of space to cook. There's also bus stop nearby if you don't drive and walkable to city centre. Highly recommended!

While the property had most things we needed, it would’ve been good to have some body wash to use.

The property location was great - it was right next to a popular Main Street and not too far from the bus station. The property most of the things you needed. The staff were also lovely. We would recommend staying here while in Auckland.
