How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I wish I could have stayed longer :)
Everything was great honestly. Comfortable bed, all I needed in the small kitchen, enough hot water, balcony, excellent thick towels. Perfect location for my trip. Convenience store across the road. Tonnes of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. I had great communication with Kevin, the host, and nothing was too much trouble for him. He always checked in to see if I needed anything.

Perfect location and the host Kevin was best host I have had in the 5 years coming to the Philippines. He was very informative which saved time during the 4 day stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Being so close to Walking Street was a big advantage.

Night time outside noise quite load at times but lets face it if you want close to the action and fun its to be expected.
Clean well presented apartment ,has everything you need .Host Kevin very accomodating ,plenty food options all around and very close to the local nightlife. Worth its value.

The owner Kevin was outstanding. Facilities were immaculate and the location was a few steps away from all the fun and games of Walking street. I highly recommend this accommodation and will be back. AAA+++

The stay was perfect, the room was more beautiful than I was expecting for sure! The owner was awesome, very helpful about pointing out the good/bad in the area. The location was just a step away from the party scene, so perfectly able to get some peace and quiet while still being able to join the party when I wanted.

Walking up the stairs to my room was the only minus for me, as an old guy, but only a minor one
10/10 for location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff... Kevin was very helpful. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again

Take ear plugs as very noisy with bikes /trikes.and I felt a little overpriced buts that's only my opinion. I've previously stayed in radisson hotels where they have been excellent value .which probably why I felt that..if noise isn't a issue .overall a excellent place
Excellent room /condo room ,the room was spotlessly clean,, bed was very comfortable and also the pillows, shower was OK more water pressure would have been nice .,but overall excellent room .was well equipped . fridge and kettle etc .also the host,kevin was very helpful.nothing was too much trouble even when I couldn't use the shower because it was Japanese. Lol..overall the location if you like hitting the action nightlife is excellent .

I have 8 reasons I should be getting a refund and will never stay there 1st the wifi worked half of the time if that I watched my computer instead of TV or go to the sports bar 2nd no hot water to shower 3rd it looks like something is growing the shower very nasty 4th the place smells bad especially in morning needs upgrades 5th the elevator I was afraid getting stuck in there so primitive 6th what staff you call people sleeping on desks staff. 7th It is a big room or very small studio at best. 8th the lighting at night out front is laughable very dark and scary.
The bed was the only thing I liked.
