Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe staff were okay, but their service could be improved. I didn't like how they did not inform me that we need to add a small amount if we were to upgrade our free breakfast from the regular meals to the continental meal. Although it's indicated on the list that we were presented, I will appreciate the gesture if they had informed us instead of charging us before our checkout. If you're a foreigner and you're not comfortable with using a dipper a.k.a. "tabo" in tagalog, prepare yourselves. There was no bidet in the comfort room that we used. Haha! But, if this isn't an issue for you, I see no problem. The WIFI was not so good either. I believe that this could be improved more. Our room was located near the fire exit, and the WIFI has poor signal there. I was working remotely (I am an online freelancer) during our stay. If not for the pocket WIFI that I personally brought with me, I would have missed two days of work. The cafe downstairs was filled with college students. It can be very chaotic and noisy, so, manage your expectations. It's not exclusive for guests but we understand. Business is business. Everyone is welcome there.
What I liked the most about Vigan Traversa Hotel was the fair price point of the room that we booked. It is very affordable and at the same time, comfortable to stay at. I also liked how they put a small aquarium near the hotel entrance. As a hobbyist myself, the aquascaped aquarium really looked nice!

PhilippinesNothing much except that the size of the room was a little small than expecred but it was still the experience that matters.
The hotel was walking distance from the famous calle crisologo... the breakfast was superb, especially the vigan longganisa that my daughter loved. She requested it twice during our 4 nights stay in the hotel. She had a competition to attend to... I guess the yummy breakfasr helped her aced the contest... Our requests were always granted.

PhilippinesMy friend is a senior citizen and I am a stroke survivor... I suggest that they should get the necessary information and reserve rooms at the lower floors for seniors and differently-abled persons... you have to be careful, the steps of the stairs are small/cramped, you have to negotiate it sideways... sorry for having big feet though... No BIDET at the private restrooms. Tsk tsk... However, the hotel staff is nice and polite. IMHO, these guys can be considered assets to this establishment.
I like the location which is walking distance to/from Calle Crisologo...

PhilippinesToilets has no bidet, and there seems to be a leak on the toilet area. Which was not bothering but I could improve on. It’s also nice if they’ll provide a vanity mirror in the room.
Proximity to Calle Crisologo is good, just a few blocks away. The location is also quiet but at the same time near the centre of attractions. Our room was clean, the air conditioning unit is cold. And WiFi is stable around the property. Staffs are also friendly and very nice on accommodating our needs.
