How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The Location is fantastic for anyone who wants to Visit Porto. It is centrally located, with easy access to the City. The apartment is modern and clean with all the facilities you could require. It has the added bonus of a lift, should you need it.

No negatives
Great location and never more than a 20 minute walk to attractions of the old town. Round the corner from a great superarket and city market, and appartment has good facilities and decent coffee machine. We were 1st floor appartment and had a good balcony and access to narrow area we could sit in and follow the sun as it moved. Crap view, but felt private and suited us perfectly, and super quiet at night. Really pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

Would have liked more clothes hanging/storage area, but this was a minor point.
The location was good as it was only 15 min walk down to river area. The room was very clean and spacious. Had an outside balcony and having the washing machine was great. Staff on arrival were really friendly and helpful.

Great location very well equipped with everything u would need for a comfortable stay. Very clean and serviced every day. Just perfect .Host was very helpful and easy to contact.. Highly recommended and would definable stay again if back in Porto. Thank u.

elevator begins at first floor not ground floor , there is 1 bath room bu two toilet, upstairs 2 bedroom one toilet and shower, just to know, renovetaed very qute place

Really needs something to provide shade on the roof terrace. Too hot to use in the day. A coffee table would be nice

as others have mentioned, you have to walk up to first floor to access elevator. wasn’t an issue for us
Great location for everything we wanted to do. Loved the extra space. Great communication and they were kind to let me move up my reservation by one day.

Bit difficult to find hotel. Could do with a small coffee table also instructions to use coffee machine.
Apartment was very well appointed with all facilities including washing machine, very clean and spacious and in great location to walk to most points of interest.

The apartment was fabulous. It was spacious, very comfy, very clean, and had everything we needed. The location was ideal for exploring Porto, and the apartment staff were really lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to others.

Small but essential: no hooks at all in the bathroom (1B) or (1C). No cupboards just a couple of open shelves that are very high up. Nowhere to put suitcases that had all our clothes in them. No luggage stand or table.
The staff, the location, the bright apartments. The washing machine!! And the attention to the guests’ needs.

Although the appartement were new they were not cozy for a long stay. There are no hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom and in the corridor. The lights by the bed were very uncomfortable. The ventilation in the bathroom did not work, we had to open the windows in the appartement to air the bathroom. The TV was in an extremely dangerous place, it could easily be dropped at night on the way to the toilet. In general, the design of the flat was beautiful but impractical.
The location was great. The room was very clean: towels were changed every two days, cleaning was every day. wi-fi was superb. Great soundproof.
