Amazing location, apartment and host. I’d recommend for anyone to stay here. Carlos is exceptionally professional and answer all of our questions quickly. The apartment itself was perfect. located right in the heart of Funchal with the most stunning view of the Madeira mountains while still being quiet and safe at night.

Everything was great

Super cozy and lovely apartment in the city center. You can find everything that you need, and even more - for example such a small things like phone holder (useful to take with you for hike in the mountains to record beautiful videos;)). Great location - big supermarket nearby, city center with all restaurants and attractions. Parking place in garage saved us a lot of time, as it is quite difficult to find free space in surroundings. Kudos for host, he provided very detailed instructions and recommendations. Lovely compliment for check in (local vine and cake) cheered us up after late arrival

Parking garage is very tight. You need to be careful. But this is the case for any parking garage in Madeira. Do not rent a larger vehicle.

Amazing property. Very clean, stylish, spacious, and INCREDIBLE location. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Carlos was very responsive and assisted with everything. There was even a bottle of wine upon my arrival!

There is nothing that we didn't like. Everything was perfect. Carlos could not have done more to make our stay comfortable. Carlos is an exceptional host.

Our entire experience was fantastic. Carlos (the host) was in touch well in advance to organise everything and was extremely punctual and efficient at all times. The apartment is moden (true to the pictures) - comfortable, cool, stylish, clean and well equipped with so many little extra touches! Whist everything was amazing the ultra comfortable bed and huge television and dream kitchen to cook in, are standouts. In addition, Carlos (and Delia) went truly out of their way to give us local knowledge etc. and was always just a phone call away. As a host, apart from his efficiency Carlos is incredibly sincere, warm and generous as a person. We have travelled a lot through so many different countries and cities and can truly say our experience was 10/10!

I didn't like that I had to leave....

The place is perfect! Great location. Comfortable. Private. Spacious. Has everything you need. The veranda is huge. Oh, and the host.....wonderful person who could not have been more helpful! The place is as advertised....and maybe a bit better. You are right in the heart of oldtown Funchal. ...walk out your door to restaurants and shops if you want to pick up some food and drink for back at the apartment.

A very nice studio within a block or two from many main areas in Funchal. The apartment was nicely furnished and had everything we needed and then some. The host, Carlos, was absolutely wonderful: super friendly, communicative, accommodating, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our short stay great. He also let us use a dedicated parking garage spot, which was a bit terrifying to use (need a small car) but very helpful not to have to search for parking. Would highly recommend this place and host!

Tip: if you take the stairs up or down, just remember to turn the lights on, as the first floor lobby area receives no daylight at all. By the time you reach it, it's too dark to find a light switch.

First, the host Carlos is the best. I arrived late at night, Carlos greeted me and had left beers and wine in the fridge, and a frozen pizza in the freezer in case I was too late to get food out. He even gave tips on how to cover the light from the microwave and cooker, in case they disturbed. During the week Carlos checked in to ask if I needed anything and invited me for a drink, which as a solo traveller I greatly appreciated. The location could not be better, right in the centre of the city. The main shopping streets, old town, farmer's market, bus station, cable car, port area are all within 5 minutes walk. The apartment is very modern and well equipped. I barely used the cooking facilities, but the kitchen had just about everything you could need to cook up a feast. The terrace is huge, and has great views up the hills. Having said all that, don't book this place; I need it to be available the next time I visit Madeira, because it will be hard to find anywhere else like it for such amazing value! Great place in the heart of Funchal. Spacious, modern, cute and well equipped appartment with an amazing owner. Carlos was very friendly, and he helped us a lot with whatever we needed during our stay. We felt very welcomed. We arrived late and he had planned to have pizzas and beers. He had left also a lot of goodies and local products in the kitchen for us. We were so glad that we met him!

The apartment is very well located being walking distance from the old town, the seafront and all the best sites of Funchal. Its also just a few minutes walk from the no. 4 Mercado bus stop (for Aerobus). Carlos was a great host helping me with questions about vegetarian /vegan places to eat etc. The apartment had everything i needed and i would highly recommend it as a great base for your stay in Funchal.

The only problem we had was that there was building work going on in the building during our stay, which was quite noisy between 8am and 6pm.

We had a great stay at Carlos' apartment. Carlos was a great host, and was very friendly and helpful. We stayed during the World Cup, and he even paid for access to the games on the TV in the apartment (which are not available for free in Portugal) for us. The terrace is a great place to spend time and enjoy the drinks kindly provided by Carlos. The apartment is fitted to an excellent standard, the facilities are great, and it is well stocked. The shower, two basins, and TV are especially nice, and there is air conditioning. It feels bigger than it looks. The location is great - an easy walk to everything in central Funchal including the bay area, supermarket and the old town. We did not use the garage access. Thank you, Carlos! We look forward to returning and going for a poncha with you.

What an incredible apartment. Amazing facilities all to a perfect standard. A fantastic huge sunny balcony which is rare in Funchal. Located in the Old town and so handy to everywhere. Carlos was an amazing host - he met us on our arrival and was in touch throughout the week to make sure everything was going okay. His attention to detail is amazing. He also offered convenient parking which is so difficult to get in Funchal. Thankyou - we will be back !!

Wonderful apartment, everything here is perfect for a visit of both Funchal and Madeira. Super-practical, clean, the incredible terrace and finally its perfect location. A short walk distance to everything the old Funchal has to offer and nice base-camp for a wider island exploration. Finally the host is extremely welcoming and he is always there if you need anything or jif you just need a tip on where to go to drink the best poncha :) 5++ stars

The check out process proved to be a little tricky. We had to get out of the parking garage first then one of us run up to the room to drop off the keys. Perhaps a drop box in the parking garage may be a better option. I had to drive around the block a few times waiting for my spouse to get back down as cars would come up behind me in the alley way so I was forced to move. The price is higher than other places but the facilities and host were great and in the end I was okay paying a higher dollar amount.

Carlos was an awesome host and communicated with us throughout our stay to ensure we were enjoying our stay, providing us recommendations. The parking garage is in a close by, separate location and a little bit of a pain to get in/out (sorry, in North America everything is spacious), but it worked well enough. The apartment was clean and modern and facilities were fantastic. Location is great and lots of restaurants, shopping, oceanfront nearby and walking distance away.

Carlos is a great host! I want to thank him for the warm greeting and for making us feel at home! :) The apartment itself is exceptional! It is bigger and even cooler than it appears on the photos! It has a luxurious feel and it offers everything you might need for a quality vacation. And the parking garage in the busy center of the city is a huge bonus! We would definitely stay in this wonderful place again! :)
