The entrance door is very narrow and heavy- had difficulty holding it open to get luggage in. The stairs up to the 2nd floor, as mentioned in other reviews, are very uneven and steep, making it very difficult to carry up luggage. The shower is quite small w crumbling walls, also no window blinds in the bathroom. The building itself is currently under construction w banging beginning at 8a. Didn’t affect our trip, but just pointing it out for future guests

The view of Porto is spectacular, sunset can’t be beat - the bed and bedding is comfortable - nice to have a fridge and kettle. The room is nicely decorated. Great location, very close to the river and the bridge over to Porto

There were building works going on next door which starts at around 9/10am in the morning. It didn't bother us too much but may make the port headache a bit worse.

Very central location with an amazing view from the kitchen. We spent a lot of time on an evening have a glass of wine just watching the world go by.

The location was ideal for us. Communication was clear and the booking process was easy..Parking was important and although it was a little tricky to offload luggage and get to the parking station, everything worked out well.

The location and views of the harbor were fantastic!! Our apt was AWESOME!!! The instructions on how to enter were clear and accurate. The day we checked out, we ended up meeting the owner, Celeste who couldn't have been nicer! She even gave us a ride up to the monastery on the top of the hill above the apt. Her hospitality/kindness was very appreciated! There was parking close by which we appreciated. We highly recommend staying in this apt and hope to go back someday :)

The stairs are rough, try to stick to a carry on when staying here.

Waking up and going to bed here was probably the best. The view and proximity to the riverside restaurants and night life was spectacular. Right next to cheap parking as well.

My husband and I had a lovely time at Douro Riverside Apartments. The location was fantastic, and the apartment was clean and very nice. Our favourite part was the river view. We had a glass of wine and watched the sunset and it was so special.

I believe the only problem we had was the noise at night. Since it is a touristic area, we have many bars and restaurants around, so it is expected. Not terrible, but it might be annoying for some people.

My favourite thing about this experience was the communication with the owners, Jorge and Celeste. They were really helpful and kind. The apartment was super well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a place to park, which is something really valuable. Good internet connection. The localization is amazing, you can reach the main touristic points by walking. And the view is beautiful!
