Beautiful building nicely decorated. Large and quiet swimming pool. Very large gymnasium and several sport activities free of charge (bicycles and standup paddle). Tasty breakfast.

The quality of the bread in the hamburgers and sandwich for the quality of the hotel the bread should be fresh and it was dry.

Everything was amazing, not having hours to take the breakfast when you are relaxing is a huge value.

Service speed in the pool can be improved and quality of the Wi-Fi in the common areas in the building and rooms can be improved as well.

The location was ideal for us - very close to the motorcycle event that we were exhibiting at. Breakfast was the main meal that we consistently ate at the hotel and it was delicious and varied. The few dinners we had there were well prepared and presented and the service was of consistently high quality.

Nothing major. The massage service didn't seem to be running during part of our stay (weekdays). It seems somewhat misguided given it was in August. Even though the restaurant provides great food and some alternatives, it can be a bit expensive for the value provided. There was a "plague" of bees near the exterior part of the restaurant that were very troublesome. I don't usually have problems with insects and animals, but in this case it was a bit too much and the hotel should try to arrange some solution. (Maybe for next year you need to plant flowers in the grounds a bit away from the main building so the bees go there instead of the hotel itself?)

Herdade da Cortesia is a very modernized hotel at the Maranhão Dam. The whole hotel is very well modernized and well equiped. The room was fantastic with all the modern decoration and equipment you could desire. Excellent TV, great WIFI coverage (through all the hotel), good bed, excellent bathroom, and every room has a Minibar, coffee machine, and an excellent balcony that in most cases has a great view. The Restaurant provides excellent food, with a fixed menu. Most of it consists of local dishes with some more "fine dining" twist, and it was very good. The deserts are also very good (try the Chocolate Mousse, it was traditional style with a very large portion). The breakfast is very well equipped and has a lot of dietary alternatives (for vegetarian people). The Hotel as an exterior infinity pool with a very decent size for the hotel. It has several sun loungers, and some puffs and mattresses you can use spread around. Hardly you will have issues having somewhere to sit. There are additional water sports services that you can take advantage, even though I didn't try.

The air-conditioning in the bedroom was useless. Only 5 rooms have walk-in showers; ours was over a bath and very cramped

Located in the wilds! Our mistake was using the hotel as a stop-over. Such a waste as there's loads to do. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Strong ecological ethos, lovely infinity pool, subtle and charming decor throughout

The path around the lake was less walkable than it first seems, but really was not a big issue.

Excellent stay! We loved the rooms, service, people, setting. Perfect place to disconnect and get some real rest. Beautiful design and very very friendly staff. Delicious food both for breakfast and dinner with very nice service. Really loved it and would go back for sure!
