How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A solid breakfast. Minor improvements to the offer could be made. Great location. Only 5 to 10 minutes to the center by foot. They failed to set up a room for 3 people, but at our request, everything was quickly resolved

Ask for a quiet room because some rooms have a door comunicating with other rooms it and can be noisy.
Good position in front to pedestrian area. Very kind staff always helpful for information, restaurants, suggestions, travel and public trasports useful information etc, thank You! Good hotel, in line with the 3 stars category. Clean, beds are good. Breakfast is OK, both continental and "italian", the brakfast room it's usually crowded from 9:30, so it's better to go earlier. Hotel is full in the weekend, very livable in weekdays. Very easy from Bolhao stop of the metro, direct connection to the airport (line E).

There was nothing I did not like about the property.
The property was clean, the breakfast was fresh and varied, it was walking distance to many restaurants, shop and stores. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They suggested things to do in Porto and circled it on the map.

The only thing we can fault was the breakfast (it’s included). Selection was a bit limited but it does changes daily. The scrabble eggs was the only thing we didn’t like.
The hotel is relatively new compared to others in the area. Location was perfect, 35 mins on an Uber from the airport, right in the heart of the city. We wanted to explore the city on foot, its position meant that nearly all the landmarks and attractions are well within walking distances (we were trying with children and elderly). The shopping district is only a 5 mins walk, with 2 shopping mall nearby. It’s a holiday inn express so you’d expected to usual standard from the chain. We stayed in the 5th floor for 3 nights, the 2 rooms was good size (a double bed with a sofa bed and a twin room), well equipped (smart tv with casting, a decent hair dryer). Bathroom was big, shower is decent size with high quality finish and very good toiletries available. The staffs were excellent, welcoming and extremely helpful. We asked for recommendations of restaurant nearby and were given lots of choices. At the end we chose Antunes that was highly recommended as a local favourite. It was an excellent meal to start our 4 days tour and we are grateful to the hotel staff for this.

Good bed, lovely clean duvet, light and just the right tog rating. Good quality clean linen and towels. It was great to be able to open the window and get fresh air. Lovely room light and plenty of space to move around. Perfect, one of the best City Hotels we have ever stayed in.

Quite noisy courtyard (that's why I couldn't rate the hotel 10).
The staff, the room, the location, the breakfast. The hotel is close to many touristic places, right on a main rush street with little shops as well as a mall about 7 minutes on foot. Close to "metro/tram" station.

Very small room. Slow check in n slow checkout. Told us we needed to pay again when we already did and had the bank record to show. Took them a long while to check their accuracy which made us late for airport!

We had a little problem with the shower on the first day, but the Staff was very helpful and sent someone to fix it immediately.
Excellent location, close to city center, tourist attractions and subway station. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast with tasty Pastel de Nata. Clean and comfortable rooms.
