Very spacious apartment, everything clean, well-equipped kitchen and beautiful terrace with amazing view. Also a refreshment from the hosts was prepared for us. Good position for making trips by car. Private parking in the house garage.

Exceptionally clean and spacious apartment with beautiful views. Fantastic facilities, with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely surprise of local wine, biscuits and fruit on arrival. The apartment is close to a shop, bakery, bar and the bus stop. Also a great addition to have an underground carpark. Fábio was an brilliant host and I would highly recommend Mericia's Gorgeous View.

- Lack of a luggage rack. For us it was not practical to store all the clothes in the closet. - Sometimes it was hard to control water temperature in the shower. Occasionally it went from hot to cold without any intervention.

Very clean, close to city center, easy access by buss or taxi in case you don't rent a car, store is 10 min away by foot, possibility to cook in the kitchen. AC is not available but I don't think is needed. We got high temperature (38C) but I didn't felt the need to turn on any AC. But the most impressive is the view from the balcony at any time of the day and very much appreciated by us was the underground parking space which is easy to get to and can accommodate large cars.

I was disappointed that there was no change of linens provided halfway through our two week stay. The description on the listing mentions a dishwasher and implied that a DVD player would be provided, though neither are in the apartment. There is no music centre either, but the tv does provide a host of channels plus Netflix.

Lovely spacious apartment with the "gorgeous view" and generous balcony for which it is noted. It had almost everything one could hope for and feels much more like a home than a holiday rental. A very convenient underground car park & elevator was a very welcome bonus. Talking of "welcome" the host kindly left delicious biscuits, fruit and wine to greet us. The apartment is very conveniently situated for local shops, bars and cafes, and getting into the centre of Funchal was a matter of minutes by car, though there is a bus service very nearby too. The host was very helpful and easy to contact.

Gorgious terrace with view to ocean and city to have breakfast, see sunrise. The owners are very nice, made lots of information which is left in the flat with where to eat, what to see and etc. As well we found fruits and cookies left from owners as small surprise.

True to its name, the apartment had a GORGEOUS view. waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean was amazing. on 31st night, we literally had front seats to amazing fireworks!!! very convenient location. has a bakery and grocery stores nearby The hosts were very sweet and helpful since it was just after Christmas, there was a beautiful Christmas tree in the living room and a bottle of wine in the fridge for our celebrations 😀 the kitchen had all required utensils. the cleaning supplies were safely locked to prevent any accidents to children. so thoughtful !!

Perfect 12 days stay on Madeira. Very friendly and supportive host. Very good localisation, walking distance to the city center, close to shopping center, bus stop. Spacious apartament with everthing what you need and fantastic view on the ocean. Private parking place in underground parking. Feeling of safe and comfort. The apartment is located in a residential part, much more atmospheric than the hotel part of Funchal. You can feel the real vibe of the city. Perfect base to everyday trips across the island.

A very spacious and well equipped apartment with an amazing view from the huge balcony! It’s also a nice neighbourhood and there’s a good local bar/cafe downstairs and a delicious bakery nearby. The apartment is very easy to access with a car and there’s only a short drive to the city centre of Funchal. We can definitely recommend this place! :)

The accomodation was so beatiful, we liked it a lot, also the owners were so kind and helpfull. I would maybe say that it is the best accomodation I have ever visited. Beautiful terrace with nice view, comfortable bed, excellent equipment of the kitchen, there was nothing we were not satisfied with. Also owners gave us some surprise (wine, fruit and cookies)when we arrived which was very nice.

The apartment was very comfortable. Everything we needed was available to us. Our hosts were very willing to assist with any problems/questions we may have had. We stayed for a month and never needed to contact the hosts as they had thought of everything that we might need and nothing needed fixed.

I think that the bed and the pillows can be more comfortable. If you don't rent a car, it can be a disavantage to go in and out of the apartment since it is located on a steep hill 20 min walk from the city. If you have a car, this is not an issue at all.

It feels like visiting your parent's home. Really charming, great views, super clean and spacious. You really feel like a local especially because there are two cool bars downstairs full of local people having a good time.
