The noise of the door bell near to our room and a noise in the floor of the suite where we stayed.

We heard quite a lot of noise from our room from the cafe downstairs until late at night (midnight).

The hotel is elegant and staff are really lovely and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.

Everything beautiful room huge bathroom! Spotlessly clean great breakfasts and all staff were outstanding Nothing was too much trouble from helping us with our luggage to arranging restaurants each evening and Suggestions for sightseeing The coffee shop is great and sorry do not know the the young assistants name but he seemed to work everywhere in the hotel assisting eveyone. He was great .a huge thank you Car parking an asset in the town The renovation and decor of the hotel is beautiful.

Bathroom cold due to its size. Trsh bin not cleaned. No refrigerator/Minibar! Room overlooking the street hence some traffic noise in the morning.

Everything was so perfect! The only thing is I like my baths super super hot and the water wasn't as hot as I expected. It really didn't matter to me but I know others might care.

I came here for my final visa appointment for my immigration and decided to stay somewhere that looked nice so that I would be comfortable and stress free. WOWWW I was so surprised!! This is a true Palace - not just the name of the accommodation. The staff was so kind (especially Miguel who checked me in and gave me an excellent tour after my 8,5 hr bus ride from Lagos). This is definitely a luxury stay which far exceeded my expectations given the more affordable pricing. It feels uniquely cozy and extravagant at the same time. Each guest gets access to the grounds, spa, pool, and self-serve bar. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice stop on a road trip or a luxury stay at a reasonable price point. I didn't have a car, but I would recommend renting one if you spend a few days here to explore the surrounding areas and hikes. No coffee making facility in room

Breakfast was very good a good selection fruit yoghurt bread with cooked eggs bacon and mushrooms. Parking at the rear in the garden. The decor of the hotel finished to a high standard in a traditional style Spatious rooms with garden access to pool

I have no negative comments.

It is rare to enjoy a hotel breakfast being waited on. The Portelegre Palace makes the breakfast buffet scrum disappear as you are waited on hand and foot. Plus the breakfast was scrummy!
