They were really stick about a 3pm check in. We tried to check in at 2 and they told us to come back.

We had a nice balcony that overlooked the main city and pool. It had a nice large bed.

..we had an interior room and none of the usual perks you find in a 4 star hotel eg complimentary water.

A bit cold. It had air conditioning but it did not allow to select "heat" mode, only cool mode.

The room was very big and had full size beds (no couches). It was an old building historical building that was refurbished and that gave it a nice touch.

femouse place ,look like old palace(i think its old Military hospital) , around you can see ancient things like big walls (war between Spain and Portuguese) small shops arround there very friendly and helpful receptionist (Daniela Santos ) ,she gave us valuable information , parking we found,out side behind the house , breakfast was not bad,

Our bathroom had a constant unpleasant smell that got into the room if we did not close the door. I suppose it is a downside of the age of the building, but if they could get rid of it it would be a huge step forward.

Beaufiful hotel located in an impressive building. The patio is an absolute gem. Breakfast was really good!

The wifi was weak in our room.

We had a beautiful room with a great view of the city walls of Elvas. The hotel is an impressive historic building that forms part of the city fortifications. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking behind the hotel is excellent. Great place to explore Elvas and surroundings. We are happy to come back.

Everything was good. We went there for Granfondo Eurobec and we asked for late checkout. They allowed it in one of the rooms to our groups take a shower without extra cost.

Didn't have a simple list of how to reach the front desk. Why a phone in the room. Had to walk back to the front desk to ask for a glass for wine (in my room)

History of the building was interesting. Backyard grounds are lovely. Easy walk to market.

Dinner was disappointing. No choice of starters and no desserts. This was a pity because the restaurant has a beautiful setting.

We hoped to get the traditional breakfast buffet which is one of the joys of being in a hotel and what we had the previous time, but there was NO buffet at all. Too few clients, we were there out of season... This time our breakfast needed to be pre-ordered the night before - a very uncomfortable method and we left the decision for the morning. Sitting behind the table in an empty room you have to guess what you want... for every extra cup of coffee or piece of bread, you have to call the worker, and what about many tasty things not knowing what exactly you get?

The January visit. The room was comfy and warm despite the cold nights. There was a fake 'window' in our room (it opened to another hall, not outside) that kept the room warmer and did not bother us because we were mostly outside all the time. The beautiful, historic house was empty, and nobody was in that hall too.

Lovely hotel in an historic compound just in the old fortification. Beautifully decorated and furnished, wonderful large room with outside windows and stunning views! Very nice staff, good breakfast! We were very happy there! Recommended! 😇😇

Breakfast is generous and varied but the hot food is cold. Buying a plate warmer and trays that keep eggs, bacon etc warm would be great. Having a thermos flask of hot milk for cereal and coffee would be a lovely addition. The ‘milk’ dispensed by the coffee machines is not nice.

Check in staff are delightful and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden. Location excellent for town.
