There were limited choices of food for breakfast and it would have been good to have some slippers in the room.

The room was nice, with lots of natural light and really nice decor, the bed was very comfortable, the hotel itself was beautiful, the breakfast that was served was really good and the staff fantastic, friendly and accommodating.

It was unfortunate there was a large family with many loud children staying at the same time, which made the restaurant very chaotic at breakfast each morning.

Pool and lobby area was nice, staff very friendly and restaurant was good. Location excellent for the sites we wanted to see.

PHENOMENAL!!! Can't recommend enough - the grounds are breathtaking, the amenities above and beyond excellent, and the food (like the rest of Azorean cuisine) fresh and fabulous. Within 15 minutes of arriving I was ready to book my next stay with them. That's how good it is... The natural beauty if the island and stunning architecture and design do wonders, but staff absolutely deserve so much credit - they are kind, informative, helpful, and wonderful to talk with. Much appreciation to the workers <3

Everything was perfect! Impeccable service, amazing place, competent staff and perfect cure of every single detail. I would have liked to meet Senhora da Rosa for congratulating with her for the place she created. Only one suggestion: I would have appreciate to have the chance to choose a bottle of champagne at the Asian restaurant but it is definitely the best hotel I have ever seen in my entire life!

Pool was small and mostly occupied by children - would say not really the hotel to laze around the pool at if this is what you're looking for. Also a little bit out of Ponta Delgada, but quite easy to get taxis if you don't have a car, and the hotel staff are very helpful in booking these.

Absolutely stunning hotel, would recommend to anyone visiting Sao Miguel. Gorgeous rooms, amazing spa, great breakfast. All in all a perfect stay.

Cleaning services of the room can be improved, especially for long stays. Room was a bit humid and the ventilation service was not working properly. We made the reception aware but there was no intervention during our stay. Morning service of the reception can be improved.

The hotel is amazing, very nice rooms, garden, pool, spa facilty. Hotel was also very supportive in helping us renting a car. Sometimes it was...difficult to get out. Excellent breakfast and restaurant. Adviced for families with young children. We really enojoyed our stay.

As mentioned, staff are very friendly, however the level of service is severely lacking. The mini bar was never restocked of after day one, despite my requests. We had a suite with a bath, but after one bath, the bath bombs were never replaced. Why bother with the bath if there are no products to put in it! Hot breakfast was ordered every morning and two occasions,didn’t arrive. Drinks ordered to pool that never arrived. 1.5 hours to make two sandwiches. Constantly forgetting things. Such a shame as we were not the only guests to have encountered these problems and it seems that the staff can get away with doing very little because the beauty of the hotel covers for the dreadful service.

The hotel is beautiful! We stayed in the junior suite and it didn’t disappoint. Very spacious room with a huge balcony equipped with sun loungers and a dining area. Inside was a living area, bedroom area, dressing area, a freestanding bath as well as excellent walk in shower. The Magma restaurant served delicious meals, with a decent range of local wines. Breakfast was fairly limited with hot and cold options available that were very tasty. Pool area is small but relaxing, comfortable sun beds albeit not enough of them at busy times. Staff friendly and overall, we had a lovely stay.

The staff was the best at this hotel, always ready to help with any request. Food was great - breakfast, but also in both restaurants and the bar. Comfortable bed and spacious room.

We had a small issue wih an inexperienced staff member unable to find our booking but it was quickly resolved. The hotel is very eco conscious and only provides solid bars of soap including for shampoo so bring your own if you prefer liquid.

Breakfast was included and was excellent. There was a huge choice of pastries, breads, fruit, continental (cheese, ham) yoghurt and you could also order a cooked breakfast with choices of omelette, eggs benedict, smoked salmon and more. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. They booked all our restaurants and made excellent and varied choices for us. They advised on sightseeing plans giving us excellent advice on where to go, checking tide tables and weather cams to make sure we went at the right time and werent disappointed. The spa treatments were excellent. The rooftop bar was really fun. We found the restaurant rather expensive but the food and service were excellent. The hotel is in a very relaxing and restful environment with gardens all around but it is very close to Ponta Delgado. All the staff were friendly and eager to help in every way.

The only thing that was a bit annoying was the musty smell everytime we came in the room. But when you turn on the airco for a few minutes, it luckely dissapeared.

Amazing staff, wonderfull garden, delicious breakfast and diner, lovely cocktails. We had an amazing time at this hotel. The breakfast was a bit different everyday, the food was delicious and fresh. The welcome was wonderfull. I loved how they gave everyone a small goodnight gift every evening. The room was spacious and clean, I loved the flowers next to the terrace.

The staff emailed me a week before our stay to see how they could help… they then proceeded to book several reservations for us at amazing restaurants which they recommended, and they arranged for a rental car for us.

My only complaint (and it's not really a big one) was that the beds are harder than I'm used to. But after a full day of exploring and an excellent meal at Magma, we still slept like babies!

This boutique hotel is amazing. The staff is very warm and welcoming and were willing to go above and beyond to help us with everything we needed! Facilities offer everything you need including a great spa. Melissa at the front desk, Rui at the bar, and Marta in the rooftop restaurant were all top notch! The owner, Joana Melo, is what you look for in upper management. She really cares about her guest's stay. Highly, highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Sao Miguel. We will be back.

Our room needed a soap dish. While I like the efforts to be sustainable, the bar shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel gross. I would have appreciated a stack of fresh towels in the spa. I brought one, used it in the sauna and steam room but had nothing fresh to use after showering. Soap, shampoo & conditioner are needed in the spa locker room shower. Most places put a dispenser on the wall.

Our stay here was exceptional. It is a beautiful, newly renovated property and was just lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had there, and the restaurants are very very good. The hot pineapple pool was delightful and we also enjoyed relaxing by the pool and sampling the sauna & steam room. The hotel is situated a little outside town, which ensured our tranquility.

There was a lack of food available for Vegan and Gluten free needs. I asked if the restaurant could accommodate the dietary needs prior to our stay. One of two vegan meals on the menu were not available during our stay. I also feel the waitstaff needed to ask for allergies and dietary needs prior to ordering. We were brought food that we couldn't eat nor did we even order. They just delivered it to the table. Breakfast had no vegan options. I also asked the front desk for recommendations for other area food and they had no information, menus, or anything to suggest. The property is nice but there is nothing to do in the area. The pool was too cold to swim in May so there were no other options to actually do anything on the property.

The hotel met expectations for the sustainable quality and feeling of the property. The hotel entrance is quite nice with a small bar to have drinks. The rooms were spacious and the view from the terrace was amazing in the evening. The pineapple greenhouse with the small warm pool was a nice surprise.
