Very friendly host and stuff, even organized transfer with a 3m surfboard, whole lodge very tidy and quiet. Sea view from and afternoon sun in balcony and bed. Big room, comfortable bed, always hot shower, very well equipped kitchen, surfboard rack. One of my best holidays in the last years!

I liked the place a lot. The location is great, right next to Baleal's picturesque rocks with great views on the ocean, and very close to main Baleal's places to go like the Washed Up bar, the supermarket and the coffeshop. The main beaches are at a walking distance. At the same time the lodge is not on the main street, so it's quite at night. I took private surf lessons there, and I loved them a lot. The teacher Guilhermo is a talented surfer and an experienced teacher, and a great guy in general. The staff, basically Elena - the manager and the soul of the place, is very nice and hospitable and always ready to help. Elena provided all the info about the town that I needed and was always open to talks or questions. Great people are what keeps the place and the town together. I'll definitely come here again when I'm back in Baleal. Thanks!

Surfness Lodge is a lovely surf house! The women working at the house made my stay exceptionally wonderful. They were so warm and welcoming. The house itself is very very clean, and upper semi-private terrace, that was part of room I booked, had sea views. Wonderful surf is just a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice view, clean, kitchen very well equipped, friendly staff, good communication, nicely decorated and perfect location to catch some waves! We were welcomed by Wilson and Helen. I also liked that they had their own surfboards to rent and even arranged an instructor for us. Definitely recommend!

It was crowded and the other guests were loud families but I think that is the luck of the draw based on who booked at the same time as you.

The hosts are awesome! Naomi, Elena and Nilson made to we had everything we needed and showed us around town. We had a great surf trip. It was super handy to have the waves outside our window and boards for rent downstairs.

the place was super clean and neat. lots of great surf art and an interesting library. Nilson, the host, was super chill. amazingly one of the staff knew my brother. small world ha ha. this was a good spot for a couple of days. it would be a great spot for a month to hang out and surf. everyone made us feel totally at home.

could do with access to the back of the property without going through the living room but that’s being really picky and to be honest it isn’t much of a bother.

It was kept clean (kudos to the staff) with all the facilities that we needed. As we were on a surf trip it was nice to have someone to hang and wash wetsuits, store boards and chill out to after a surf. We liked how relaxed it felt, always felt welcome and had fun interacting with other guests and staff.

Honestly, there is nothing to complain about here.

This place had a chill, friendly vibe. I felt so at home here. It was clean and well organized. The kitchen even had a knife sharpener. The host was honestly the best host I have ever met at any hostel or guesthouse. He was very friendly and polite, and really took care of his guests. The location was just a few steps from the cliff overlooking the water, and a path down to the surf spot. There were restaurants, a grocery store, and a car rental within one block.
