How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Location to the airport is so convent! Location to Istanbul tourist center is a bit far. Would definitely stay again for a long layover or just one night. If staying longer, I’d recommend somewhere closer to the city.
Room was perfect. I only wish we had more pillows. Breakfast was okay, I liked that we had coffee and tea in our rooms but I was hoping to get a pastry downstairs.

There were ink stains on the sheet, It was clean so I didn't mind. There were electricity cuts during the day
15-20min to airport and it's easy to reach Room and bed were comfortable. Everything was clean. Breakfast was tasty, lots of variety of jams and cheeses. It's a good choice to stay for the long transfers.

Nothing, everything was excellent.
It was very clean hotel , has new building, very comfortable. Excellent location ( near the airport) if you have short or long transit for your next flight . Uber is the best way to reach there .breakfast was excellent , everything was fresh and very clean . I loved everything in that hotel and breakfast was cherry on top 👍🏼

It was our third time staying at The Pearl Hotel between flights and it didn't disappoint again. Check in was fast and smooth, the room was comfortable and clean - white soft towels, hot water with good pression, kettle with coffee and tea selection. The receptionists have always been friendly, helpful and very efficient. We'll definitely come back again next time we fly!

AC unit was undersized for the room.
Clean. Close to airport. Close to grocery stores and a couple restaurants. Had to leave early so we did not have a chance to eat the breakfast..

The A/C did not work effectively
It is close to the airport, I was with car and could easily park, good value for price and the breakfast was great as well.

Our window was facing the street and it was a busy road, as it was very noisy since early in the morning. Also, some guests were very noisy talking in the corridor early in the morning when leaving the rooms and you can hear everything through the door. We had only fitted sheets on the bed and bed cover. I had to go to reception to ask for top sheets.
We arrived late around midnight, but the check-in process was fast and easy. The room was spacious even though we had a lot of luggage. The location was great, just a few minutes drive to the airport. Also, it was very convenient to have a shop nearby if you need something on arrival. Easy to find a spot to park the car. The hotel was good for a one-night stay before our flight or between two flights when you have a long connection. I saw a bus to the airport stoping in front of it, so there might be also a bus connection, but I didn't ask, as we were with our own car.

was perfect
Great value-price. Location near the airport (220-250 liras taxi). Kind personal. We arrived late and left early and they helped us to get something to eat and gave us coffee before leaving at 4 am.

A great place to stay after a late flight or before an early one. Immaculately clean, with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is okay - but amazing to be included for the price.

The hotel is good, clean and modern. The communication was good, and using local über helps to go in a City or Airport. The breakfast was also good. Very thankful for a stuff for al their advices

Everything was great. No complaints.
Nice, quaint, and quiet hotel located about 15-20 minutes from the airport. It was perfect for our 2 night stay with early morning flights. There are markets and restaurants close by to pick up supplies and food. The staff was also informative, professional, and accommodating.
