Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe air quality in the entrance area seems not that good
During the two days we stayed we had to work remotely, the desk and power outlet is perfect, also the desk is long enough to accommodate two people. I asked the front desk if we can get one more chair, they delivered an additional chair to us immediately, thanks for the great support! Location is good, we were able to walk to Mid-West District for food hunt. There is shuttle from Taiwan High-speed Rail station. This hotel seems very suitable for families with kids, we don't have kids but did not feel bothered as well.

United KingdomHad some noisey neighbours watching loud TV late at night (2 am) and also making lots of banging noises from the floor above, despite the hotel being aimed at for children/families so there will most likely be children sleeping (in my case a 11 month old baby). Perhaps guests should be asked to keep noise down after a certain time given the environment. There's not much else to do in the area before 11am since shops don't open until then.
Very child friendly environment and the Christmas tree in the lobby was a bonus. Very good selection for breakfast. We had a room with 2 double beds and the room was a good size.

CanadaStaff was great, the issue is facilities & perhaps upper management: - Cleanliness was an issue during the busy summer months: - bugs came out of our 8th floor AC vent, so many of them I was afraid they would hitch a ride in our luggages back home. I do feel it is a vent (facility) issue that is out of the staff's control. They changed our rooms to 11th floor after seeing those bugs. - because some of the hotel rooms are next to shing kong mitsukoshi mall vents, you can periodically smell the food court smells at night in your room. - there is no ground floor driveway like Silks Palace. When we first arrived, the taxi dropped us off in front of Shing Kong Mitsukoshi mall. It turns out their drive way for taxis is in b2 (underground floor). I don't think it's as convenient if you are relying on taxi for transportation. This is out of staff's control, but a design issue. - lobby is on 4th floor, it's also not as convenient when checking in with lot of luggages vs. other hotels where lobby is on 1st floor. Again, design issue, not staff issue. - bathroom cups in our 8th floor bathroom were used & had toothpaste on the rims of each one. - towels on the 8th floor room was old and ragged, they really needed to throw away the worn out ones. - there was mold in the bathroom sink & inside shower stall because the ventilation wasn't strong enough - not enough cleaning staff on the 8th floor When the front desk staff knew of our issues with bugs and mold, they immediately changed our room to 11th floor, which is a lot better and with lots of cleaning staff everyday.
I will give everyone working at the front desk 10/10 stars. The hotel made sure there was enough staff to help everyone at this busy hotel. The staff was very helpful, as we had many bumps during our 2.5 week stay. They were able to find a solution to every issue we had with our room(s). There is plenty of activities for kids below 6 years old: - They have a floor dedicated to kid's play area (I think 5th floor?) to let kid's energy out before bedtime. - They also have fun activities (classes) for kids and it changes every month. - Another big plus is that the 4th floor has a small train kids & adults can ride on + small cars for kids to drive around their track, sand pit, and small water play area etc. A very kids friendly hotel. - the location is unbeatable. This hotel is the closest to the mall (It is less than 1 minute walk to the mall), and walkable distance to 7-11, family mart and coffee shops. Probably the most convenient hotel in Tainan besides Silks Palace.
