Because the 2nd-floor rooms on the wing I was assigned face the parking lot, there were places on my floor where the rain gutters leaked water onto the passage way - potentially a walking hazard.

The motel's location to both I-40 and I-15/CA-58 was very convenient - easy on, easy off the freeway.

The rooms we stayed in were variable- but definitely could have just started in one that was a dud (something sticky on the floor in the corner of the room, gnats, humid feeling, WiFi hard to catch or keep, ocasional smells of cigarettes, dark, and even the plugs didn't all function). We are not normally people who say much, but all together it was too much. Luckily, the front desk gal was kind enough to help make a switch and the one we stayed in was a relief. In both rooms, we found it unfortunate that there were no fans in the enclosed bathrooms, and the walls were thin!

The breakfast was great and so was the staff. Friendly, kind, patient. The room we ended up staying in was clean, comfortable and felt safe. Everything worked. The parking was easy. The courtyard is peaceful. The pool was closed but looked nice. The grounds are well kept and clean, and everyone was friendly. The location is close to the freeways and food options.

Rooms need soundproofing. Neighbors talking outside railing of second floor after midnight and could easily hear in our room. We called the front desk and asked if they could ask them to quieten down. The staff responded quickly, but unfortunately, they just went inside their room next door and we could hear them just as loudly. This was very late in the eveing/early morning and we were off to an early start for a long day of driving----unfortunately very sleepy. We reserved a "pet friendly room" . Not sure that is what got as we were on the second floor with carpet and no decernable accommodations for "pet friendly". As we arrived, front desk staff was out front of the door smoking. I waited for them to finish and then come in to help me check in. When we asked if they could add our Choice rewards number, they were unable to help us and asked us to get a receipt in the morning and call the national number. Small bathroom/shower/toilet room.

Breakfast was excellent and size of room was great. Dinner at the restaurant was crowded but luckily we got a table and the food was excellent. Staff was Responsive to our issues with noisy neighbors.

Resturant needs a little updating. It is a little worn but clean. Food was excellent but a bit expensive. Would be nice to offer the hotel guests a 10% discount with the room key.

Location was excellent. I checked in on superbowl Sunday it was a little loud, however I knew it would be. It was very quiet the following night.

The wash basin faucet was a bit tired and the tub's drain could use a maintenance call. Other than these two items, the room was neat, tidy, and clean.

Hotel's location on Route 66 and accessible by both I15 and I40 was extremely convenient. Breakfast at Los Domingos was an excellent value and that Los Domingos was co-located with the hotel was an added bonus.

old tub shower combo with whole in the tub. Small thin bath towels. Parking was tough as trucks and large trailers were permitted to park across 5-6 spots. Not much left.

I am a light sleeper so early A.M. trash pick-up woke me, briefly (our room being in back of the property). There is no elevator to reach upper floor. Neither mention would change our mind about returning or referring the hotel to another potential guest. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Chose this hotel, specifically, because of the attached "Los Domingos Mexican Restaurant" that I enjoyed after staying in Barstow previously. We appreciated the mostly quiet hotel room toward back of the property. We had a 2nd-floor room. I forgot night-lights that I usually bring along in my travels. I asked the staff if by chance another guest had left one behind that we could use. She took the time to check in back and found one that someone left behind recently! The bed was extremely comfortable. The property has a great location right off the freeway and yet far enough away from any freeway noise. This was a big plus. The included "morning breakfast-to order" was great. Luckily, I happened to stop at the desk to inquire about the breakfast when the woman at the Reception Desk mentioned I needed a room confirmation paper to give wait-staff. (I didn't happen to notice that mention in our check-in info) There is an Outlet Mall about 6 miles south of Barstow proper.

Room could have had a microwave oven. Doggy bags in the holder would have been nice. Dinner was marginal. The black beans were way, way too salty. Couldn't eat them. The flautas were pasty.

We stay here every time we go to California from Arizona. It's a bit older than some of the other places in town, but it has a grassy central area to relax in and a good Mexican restaurant.
