Petra Moon is a fantastic hotel and we loved our stay there. It's a family-owned business and the hospitality really reflects the sense that the guest experience goes beyond something simply transactional - the whole team really care about making your visit as special as possible.
You can see this in the little touches - a free fruit plate and soft drinks/snacks in the mini bar, a host of locally-produced Dead Sea mineral products in the bathroom - way more than the usual shower gel and tiny hand soap.
Facilities-wise, the rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. The hotel's rooftop terrace has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and in season, a bar and grill.
We loved the food - a plentiful local and continental breakfast buffet with made-to-order options as well as a wall of pastries that my daughter tried her best to work her way through. In the evening, the chefs produced a great range of local dishes, again with custom options and a huge dessert selection. It was excellent value.
The location couldn't be bettered - set opposite the museum, the entrance to the main complex is visible from the front of the hotel.
Where Petra Moon really came into its own was when we needed to seek medical assistance - Huthayfa, the operations manager, went out of his way to assist us: arranging medication from a local pharmacy, driving us at night to a local hospital, ensuring everything went smoothly then getting us back well after his shift had ended. Without his help, we really don't know what we would have done.
All in all, we would highly recommend Petra Moon Hotel as a base to visit the area - we'll certainly be back but hopefully without an added hospital excursion!

The staff was very friendly and assisted us with our needs and requests. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated amenities such as the electric water boiler and the fridge, which allowed us to store some of our food. Additionally, the breakfast provided was rich and satisfying. The hotel was 1 minute walk from the main street and restaurants which we really enjoyed. Petra archaeological site is a 3-minute drive by taxi. We had a nice stay for the price.

The room itself was really clean and nice and staff really friendly. It was value for money and we had a good night's rest.
The Manager is 'au fait' with the area and have good local knowledge and advice. Try Sajiat Al Janoob Restaurant for dinner - absolutely fantastic (obviously busy) but worth every JD.

Wadi Musa is the town that surrounds Petra, a historic place not to miss. Also in Wadi Musa is the rock that Moses ( Musa) hit with his staff and water miraculously formed. It has a beautiful view from that site
Also, The hotel next to the Petra entrance is elegant- but it's star is the Cave Bar- check it out for a bar that is over 2000 yrs old !

Petra is AMAZING, there's absolutely nothing to complain about.
Wadi Musa itself is a mall place with a few restaurants. Please are amazing and very polite, as in the rest of the country.
The only issue a whole place has is the water - it does not flow well. Hence, the bathrooms need to be used with caution and use very low pressure as the higher one can make it wet for days.
A recommendation for a good restaurant would be Mr. Falafel in The Tourist Street. A huge hug for the owner - Rami!

Petra is a great place to visit as it is one of the wonders of the ancient world. The moment we come out of siq( canyon type rock cut way) and see the Treasury , it has a magical experience. The Petra visit combined with Wadi Rum are excellent combination in souther Jordan- certainly worth visiting.

Stayed two nights but three would have been better. We missed the evening hike due to other arrangements. Overall, great experience. We hired a driver to drop us off for the backdoor hike into Petra. Start early and it is really worth it.

Petra is breathtaking.
Petra is breathtaking. I cannot describe it more accurately. Little Petra is also a hidden Jewel.
The Petra museum is worthwhile to visit.
Petra by night did not meet my expectations (and perhaps of may others).
The property is a top floor penthouse with 360 views of Wadi Musa, including the entrance to Petra. It is ran by two incredible people who will go to any length to ensure you have the best stay. The food is of a very high quality, bed is very comfortable and the several wifi spots are perfect wherever you are. The place is also spotlessly clean throughout.
No doubt this is one of the best hostels/hotels in the whole of Jordan and we would definitely recommend staying here while visiting the area. Thanks again to Hamza and Abdullah.
The hotel is up on the hill, about 30 minutes walking downhill to Petra Visitors Centre. The distance is made worth it by the awesome views! The hotel has a wonderful common area with big windows and a balcony. The room was small but cosy and the bed was comfortable. Even though we arrived after midnight, it was no problem - we called the number at reception and the receptionist came to give us the key. The hotel arranged a taxi transfer from Amman airport for us. I recommend Al Wadi restaurant in the centre of Wadi Musa.
Everything the location, cleanliness of rooms, lobby, dining area & bathrooms and welcoming friendly staff who make every effort for guests to feel at home and enjoy their stay. The breakfast is more than ample and varied from cornflakes and scrambled eggs plus lots of Jordanian dishes and fruit. The location of hotel is ideal to visit Petra ruins and Wadi Musa there are so many other archeological sites to visit in the region.I would definitely stay at magnificent view Hotel again they also have excellent WiFi connectivity.
We were “upgraded” to the Movenpick Petra in Wadi Musa with less than 24 hours notice. This was not what we wanted nor was it expected and we weren’t given any options. we had already spent 2 nights in a wonderful family hotel in Wadi Musa and were looking forward to a night of luxury out of town. So we did not feel it was an “Upgrade” to be moved to a hotel in town.
Consequently I have no idea about the Nabatean Castle Hotel.
the staff in Wadi Musa Movenpick were all courteous and the hotel is adequate.
Marriott Petra Hotel was the best surprise of our trip around Jordan. The location of this hotel is the best in Petra with beautiful sunset views and view all over the area. The staff is incredibly helpful with everything and they even organized for us tickets for the ‘Petra by Night’ show. Also communication in English is above average comparing to other hotels in Jordan. The outdoor traditional restaurant is also worth trying.
Petra Guest House Hotel is located directly next to Petra's Main Entrance Gate making it very convenient to explore the main sights. I had a spacious, clean and comfortable Chalet. Rich and good quality breakfast buffet was available. The hotel has the iconic "Cave Bar" situated in a real cave offering good Cocktails after a long day of hiking. In front of the Cave Bar there's a big forecourt with good seating options.
Words are hard to describe the experience of this amazing small hotel , Bakier and his family run this business at a very high level and they have built it in a way that it gives you more than a place to sleep and eat like the most hotels all around , they give you an experience and experiences are priceless .
I also wanted to say ,Dont go to Petra by night sunset tour is way more fun and relaxing!
-Great views as the hotel sits on a hill overlooking Wadi Musa (however it would be very difficult to walk back up after a long day of exploring Petra!
-The hosts were friendly and gave us some advice on exploring Petra
-The breakfast was varied with free tea/coffee available at all times
-the rooms were okay, they had everything you'd need including a fridge
At the hotel everyone was very friendly, I had a problem with my cell phone and they helped me, I almost ran out of photos of Petra😱, I am very grateful for that not to mention that the view of the hotel is amazing, you can see the sunset and all the wadi musa , you walk to Petra and restaurants everywhere, I would return here without a doubt!
This hotels deserves more than 5 stars easily one of the best places ive ever stayed in. The staff were amazing and I thank them for hosting us in this beautiful place. Incredible view of Wadi Musa. It’s placed in the best location of Wadi Musa and everything is nearby. Honestly I cannot rate this place enough.
Customer service is a lot better than the 5 star hotels i’ve been in Jordan. People are smiling and that is priceless. Location is best as it is 2 mins walk to Petra entrance. Room is sparkling clean. Complimentary fruits and drinks made us felt welcome.
good locatio in old town of Wadi musa
free parking and shuttle to Petra visitor centre also pick up.
good breakfast, but we were only 4 guests in hotel, if we will be more, we should wait, since the guy at reception its also cook, waiter and driver...
High level of hospitality, super helpful and friendly staff, beautiful hotel, big and clean rooms, cosy and authentic ambiance.
Excellent and generous breakfast with a beautiful view on Petra.
One of the best hotels i have ever been in.
The property is just a five minutes walk to the entrance of Petra. Clean. Friendly staff. Since the hostel doesn’t show on Google maps, be sure to connect with the property for exact location and photos of the hostel from the street.
Quaint property, good alternative to the big hotels. Great English speaking staff. Good breakfast, 8 minutes from Petra gate. Big free parking lot. Clean rooms and hot shower. We weren’t expecting much but were blown away.
Five minute walk to the Petra Visitor Center. Basic accommodation, but quite good for the price which is much lower than nearby hotels. Staff were pleasant. Clean room.
The location is superb. Way better than the hotels in upper Wadi Musa (at least for visiting Petra). The whole day a cleaning lady walks around to clean the bathrooms.
