Very happy my wife has gluten free dietary requirements which usually means she doesn’t eat much from restaurant or hotel breakfast but she was delighted staff ensured a gluten free evening meal and breakfast. Well done.

We loved the Church of St.
We loved the Church of St. Peter and Paul - they feature vivid and colourful stained glass windows made by Harry Clarke. We were in there for way longer than we anticipated, the art was so detailed and interesting. We found handy parking round the back of the castle, but it was February and was quiet so no problems there.

It was a very friendly town, with many pubs, cafe's and restaurants.
Sean's Bar had a very good live music duo. We ate at The Fatted Cow, which served excellant food in a professional and friendly atmosphere. The town itself was easy to get around with good transport links to other towns and cities. It was a good place to be based at.

Front desk customer service was absolutely brilliant.
Front desk customer service was absolutely brilliant. THANKS to Eric the man is a legend. Good staff everywhere. Room was little hot but that was the weather we were having. ROOM was excellent Breakfast and a swim in the pool to it off .Thank-you one and all
The location and privacy of the room was more than adequate for the time that I had spent in the room. The location was similar to where I had stayed in the last time that I had been in Athlone, and is very central to the town. While my standards for walkability are wildly different than most people's (I wouldn't decline a walking trip to Roscommon, for example), I felt like the town as a whole had a very accessible vibe and the location of this hotel was very conducive to that ideal.
This is my 2nd time to stay here, and I always enjoy staying here. There are always plenty of spaces in the car park upon arrival. The checking in process is simple. The rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The large TV in each room also has loads of TV channels to view. The staff are very polite and courteous, and it definitely beats other 5 star hotels that I have stayed in. I will always stay here, whenever I am in Athlone.
First off, let me say the hosts were very warm and welcoming. Their property is charming and very lovely.
There is parking on the property and lovely views from the windows.
My room was comfortable and had a private bath.
Breakfast was huge…. Had a traditional Irish breakfast that was beautifully served.
I would recommend Moynure if you are looking for something charming and more personal than a hotel chain.
I loved the hotel overall. Reception Area and all Ladies at Reception were so friendly at all times. The Food and the Staff in the Restaurant was excellent. The Rooms were very clean and peaceful. It was so easy to access shopping centre and all shops from the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back again
The Hodson Bay Hotel is in a fabulous scenic location and employs staff who are professional, friendly and trained to a very high standard. It is a fabulous place to stay - highly recommend.
Room was amazing - adult only wing with waterfront view.
Room was huge, fabulous bathroom and room was so comfortable.
The room was large spacious twin room. Very Clean and excellent views.
Hotel reception and staff are very helpful and friendly
The Hotel itself, is spotless and is located right inside the new town shopping centre.
Wonderful location for shoppers or for business persons.
So clean and quiet. Stayed for a wedding in Athlone. Taxi was about 14euro each way and we had no problems getting one in and out.
Comfy rooms with bice spacious ensuites. Grounds are fantastic. Exceptional value for money compared to the hotels in the town 10/10
Excellent staff at both check in and in the breakfast room.
Large room with super comfortable beds. A great bathroom with both shower and bath. Plenty of towels and toiletries.
Great location in the centre of town. Probably the best hotel in Athlone town.
The staff was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The hotel was very clean and the food was delicious. Great location within the city. We were able to walk most places we wanted to see.
The bar was old-fashioned and adorable. Prices were great. Staff very attentive. The rooms were cozy but more like home than a hotel. The best part was Teresa who runs the place and provides a nice breakfast.
Fabulous Hotel set in extensive beautiful garden grounds. Very well kept throughout. Food in the bar was lovely. Good value for money and easy to reach Athlone centre on foot. Would stay here again.
It was so dreamy & dog friendly. The golf course should win an award or be on the top 10 golf course of Ireland. The resort itself was absolutely perfect in so many ways. Our family will be back.
Hotel is in an excellent location, with fantastic views of Athlone Castle and the river. Short walk away from the town itself. Hotel staff and service excellent.
