The owner at the Sol Hotel was so friendly and kind. I asked for a free upgrade as we were celebrating a birthday and he gave us full choice of any room we wanted. I chose the best room, 3 upgrades higher, all at no extra cost. He went out of his way to give us a great breakfast and allowed us late check out till 1. The room was large and comfortable, tastefully designed with a lovely patio. The area was also lovely, a bit more quiet and lots of galleries/boutique shops/cafes to explore nearby

The room is located in a new hotel, so the equipment is new, which is nice. We liked the bathroom with a large spacious shower the best. The hotel is located in a great place, everything you need is within walking distance- bar with live music, restaurants, cafes.
Mitzpe Ramon is magical.
You can enjoy a different view depending on the time of day. Make sure you get to see the sunset on the promenade and watch the mountains change colors.
There are many trails - the easiest is to walk along the promenade.
If you want to hike, make sure you take plenty of water and a good trail map. You can get info at the visitors center - which is well worth visiting. They have a lovely light show exhibition that explains how this erosion crater "machtesh" was formed.
The crater is a geological wonder. It is also fun to see the ibexes (mountain goats) walking down the streets of the city.

Mitspe Ramon is a small town with a relaxed artistic atmosphere. Desert weather: cool at night hot and dry during daytime. Unique place for discovering stars, colorful rock formations, studying fossils. During winter you can view flash desert floods from a safe location. Great place if you want to spend time by yourself listening to the wind and staring at nature's wonders.

The natural desert scenery is amazing, especially from the cliff top where the Ramon Crater begins. Herds of gazelles stroll through the town. There are a few chic eateries e.g. in the Spice Quarter. We often eat at Mauna, in the main shopping centre: it's vegan, with a limited menu, but the food is delicious.
Driving In Mitzpe Ramon is easy, but most places are walkable. Remember, many shops are closed on Saturday/Jewish Holidays.

Mitzpe Ramon is a gem for nature lovers and nature photographers, especially if you like deserts of course. There are many spots to hike and visit, or having a stroll along the cliffs with stunning views.
If you just wanna rest or enjoying nightlife, there are some nice cafes and bars, for having a cappuccino by reading a book or going out for some live music.

Loved the stargazing in the crater with Ira the Starman- highly recommend this.
A visit to the Alpaca Farm and to Nana Vineyard were very enjoyable.
The visitor center presentation together with the Ilan Ramon exhibit had a huge emotional impact.
Artist Colony/local crafts shops in the "Industrial Zone" were amazing
A well balanced blend of activity, quiet and night life.
Car is a must for quick easy access to all sites.
Ultra and Levi's were our favorite restaurants.
Be sure to check hours and if reservations are needed for events
This is probably Israels best hotel. it actually doesn't feel like Israel at all, Its an amazing escape from reality. There is not that much to do in the Ramon crater except a Jeep tour, which means you can just enjoy the serenety and luxury that is hotel Beresheet. Amazing buffet breakfast and dinners, beautiful pools, and a true 6 star location and international customer service. Must do. Recommend to stay for 3 nights.
A great opportunity to experience the desert and explore Ramon crater. It was very cool to stay in a traditional style husha and spend the night star gazing. We had one warm night in November to eat outdoors under the stars and another windier evening which we spent enjoying the vegetarian dinner and resting after a hot day of hiking. The included breakfast set us up really well for hiking.
Our stay was wonderful and we recommend the Ibex hotel! The location is ideal - very close to restaurants and shops in the spice quarter, and near the crater and other areas for hiking. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Israel and the staff was very helpful (giving us tips on where to go, hiking paths, etc). The room is thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. Highest recommendation!
This was a perfect family vacation with our toddler. At day, there was more animals around than she could feed, and all of them gentle and friendly. At night, campfire and stars. Strongly recommend! A well equipped kitchen and excellently maintained cabin made things easy for mom & dad, and the nearby crater edge was absolutely stunning at sunset and easy to reach by bike.
The check-in is contactless. We happened to show up while staff was around, and Batia (spelling may not be correct) was very helpful. We requested 4 rooms together, which didn't happen. Batia moved us around so it all worked out. The hotel has a massive lobby, with table and chairs. We did take-out from multiple nearby restaurants and ate in the lobby.
the terrace is nice, so you can enjoy a coffee outside.
lovely that there’s some coffee and tea to use.
good bed, clean room, friendly staff! perfect for a night to visit mitzpe Ramon makhtesh. and you can walk to the pub in 10 minutes. behind the house you can stand in the dark and watch the stars, if it’s not cloudy ;)
Very nice hotel in an arty neighborhood. The room was nicely decorated and spacious with a nice bathtub in the bathroom. Very clean. Breakfast was really nice in the morning. The place was quiet and relaxing. Location was great, walking distance to other places in town. We highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.
great atmosphere. the host is very friendly. beautiful place with many small sitting spots and fine touch for details. the shared kitchen is fine and is great to meet people and talk. Clean toilet and showers. location is great, out of town in the desert silent. Starting point of ‘Israel Trail’ is nearby.
The farm is in a good location right by Mitzpe Ramon. The rooms were comfortable, but smallest for a family of 4 -- tightly packed in. It was nice to feed llamas and alpacas. The staff were friendly and accommodating. A/C worked well and the campfire was a nice touch.
The rooms were very good- couch area in addition to bed area and very comfortable bed. Pool was very refreshing after a day at the crater. The first night dinner wasn't available at the hotel- but the next 3 nights we were able to get a buffet dinner at the hotel
The rooms and location were perfect, spacious and cozy and a great getaway for good friends. The outdoor space lent itself to picnics and a relaxed dinner. Was exactly what we were looking for!
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The staff was terrific and very helpful. The location is also very convenient because the hostel is right in the German colony and not very far from the view of Mitzpe Ramon. Definitely worth the money! :)
breakfast taken outside (agreement hotel and gastronomy) Mac nearby and very good coffeeshop.
owner/administrator very accommodating, as well as the service staff
