Absolutely stunning hotel, we really did not want to leave and we’ll be back for sure. Food was amazing both at dinner and for breakfast with great variety and truly remarkable dishes. Staff is very attentive and always smiling. The hotel oozes class, charm, quality and thoughtful design choices. The spa area is fantastic, we spent most of our time there. There is a steam bath, three saunas, one cold outdoor pool and a warm outdoor pool plus many relax rooms with very comfy beds. As usual in Alto Adige/South Tyrol the spa is nudist.
Our room (128) was a large suite with garden and sunbeds. Top quality and we liked the separation between the shower room and the toilet room (with bidet of course).

It is a decent base for trips in the Dolomites, but there are better. I chose it due to availability and prices.
While the city sits right on the side of the autostrada, the actual connections to it are quite far and take surprising long to get to.

The old town is wonderful - its clean its easy to get around . the walks along the banks of the 2 rivers who meet in Bessanone are tree-lined, but watch out for casual cyclists. The surrounding mountains (up to 2000m), and small villages are truly spectacular. Train and bus services seem to be excellent although it can be difficult to get reliable information on times. The Brexin Card (free from our accomodation) provides free/discounted entry to various venues and services. This card is an initiative that otther towns could well adopt to assist travellers

A small, but beautiful part of it is the old town with building from the middle ages that were very beautifully renovated. A modern library in the centre of the old town. With local wine made at Neustift / Novacella. The beautiful Dolomiten-Alps surround the city and they are a great view. The Hofburg is beautiful to visit. But also to have a wine tasting - they produce wine since 1142!!! - at the monastery.

Bressanone/Brixen is such a lovely, quiet, northern Italian town, where is surrounded by the mountains and cluttered with kindness. The general hospitalities from the hotels, restaurants and gift shops are mega great. You don't need to worry about any xenophobic attitude from the residents.
Plus, the geo-location is perfect if you would like to visit Dolomites or having any mountain climbing. The info centre is quite helpful and the paper map is explicit.
To sum up, the town will be one of the best Italian towns i have ever been :) Super recommending undoubtedly!!!!!!!!

We walked in the mountains that was my favourite. Went to town and walked in the old centro, some nice shops. We found a great kitchen store and purchased a few great things I have been looking for. We did not eat as our breakfast was very fulfilling. We found parking very easily and yes it is direct. We should have gone to the cable car Plose but no time. Also found a floral workshop but it was off hours.

This is a very easy going town away from the crowds of the big cities
If you need a quiet place to stay but have adventure on your agenda, Bressanone is the ticket! Head up to the Plose with your Brexit ticket that gives you free transportation by bus, train or cable car - then take your mountain bike up the mountain, or your family, or both!
A hidden gem is Bressanone!
The staff is amazing here! I met Elizabeth on the first day, then Alif and Lucia - all of whom were very friendly and welcoming! They recommended their restaurant partners and gave me a daily voucher for 10% off my meals. I would have gladly paid full price at their partner restaurants, they were amazing! This hotel is close to downtown, but not so close that you have the summer crowds crowding every inch of sidewalk. A cool evening stroll puts you in the Plaza in 5 minutes
The hotel is very nice, the staff friendly and the breakfast was exceptional. The location is right in the city center. The hotel has a great website that informs guests on events, tours and possible hiking trails. You also get a Brixen pass when you check-in that will allow you to take public transport for free but also give you free entrance to various sites/museums. Had we known, we would have taken advantage of this when visiting the Neustift Abbey.
We loved it, thanks to owners and staff for a pleasant stay! We will book this hotel again, definitely.
Ski bus stop right in front of the hotel, there is also a locker room for ski equipment in the hotel with warm air poles for ski shoes and gloves. Nice spa with three saunas, very kind and helping personnel. Two sinks in the bathroom, and large spacious room in general. Dinner in the hotel were also very good and not too expensive.
The apartment was located close to the center of Bressanone and was equipped with an underground parking space and an elevator that whisked us to the apartment. It was very well equipped in the bathroom, the kitchen, the living area, etc. The bathroom was spacious with multiple towels and plenty of supplies. Everything was convenient and the host, Ascan, was gracious and welcoming.
Very kind host waited for us to hand over the key and tell what we need to know about ski passes, local card. The local card which we got for all of us because of the stay is good for all public transport in South Tyrol and also for the spa in Bressanone. One of the buses stops just 10 m from the house (it goes twice in the morning to the slopes and twice in the afternoon back).
We stayed at the Gasserhof for a family ski trip. A truly remarkable hotel - super cozy, with exceptional attention to details and finesse, but more than everything it has an extraordinary combination of a top-end countryside hotel with a warm family vibe - we felt not only well cared for but a genuine sense of warm and personal hospitality. The best place we've ever stayed at!
A wonderful historic, quirky hotel with its motif of the Elephant with beautiful gardens, with a pool and atmospheric interiors. Our room in the villa was spacious and comfortable, while the dining room had interior wooden cosy rooms and an outside terrace. Parking was convenient beside the hotel, which is located just outside the walking areas of this lovely gem of a town.
Staying at this hotel has been one of the best experiences we've ever had. Everything was at the highest level – from the comfort and service to the staff and restaurant. The attention to detail and overall service surpassed all expectations. This is truly one of the finest hotels we have ever visited, and we highly commend the exceptional standards in every aspect.
The best boutique hotel I could imagine.
The facilities are amazing, the food is wonderful but above all you will find an amazing team whi would like you to have the best time ever. The personal service is exceptional.
We lived the hotel and the team, one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in from all aspects. Highly recommend!!!
Great location on the top of the hill with a view over Brixen, for a one-night stopover on our way to Italy it was very practical, they have a restaurant with good pizza. A bit of the way to see the Bressanone center, so I'd recommend to go there by car and park in one of the central garages.
Breakfast and dinner were amazing, a little pricy dinner, but that is expected in a high rated hotel like this. The location is awesome, practically in the center of Brixen, we had an amazing access to the center of the city, where we found amazing architecture and satisfying day walks.
This is probably my favorite hotel in Northern Italy! Everything was perfect, from the front desk staff to the gigantic room. My bed was the best of all times, breakfast was really awesome! I loved everything about it!
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast and dinner are fantastic. The pool and spa facilities are great as well. Will definitely come back for another stay!
Very clean and chic hotel. Super friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent! Good location, close to old town but still very quiet.Garden/pool area is very inviting and relaxing
Very good breakfast at the hotel across the street. Typical italian I would say, but with good variety to feed the entire family from 2y old to mom and dad :)
Wonderful hotel in calm and silent place, surrounded by forests and mountains. The view from the room window is worth millions. Great spa area and restaurant
Nice location in Brixen. Cozy hotel, nicely decorated, comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. I hope to stay again some day.
