Everything, but especially the kindness and consideration of the owners and staff, in addition to the beautiful property in a beautiful setting. Grazie mille!
Breakfast was superb, such a range of delicious choices.
Cannobio, a very pretty town, in a beautiful location, offers so much to see and enjoy- we stayed 6 nights and would easily have enjoyed longer, even without travelling out to other locations like Baveno and Re.
A wonderful holiday.

It was wonderful 👌
We’d love to come back to this gorgeous village, the markets on Sunday were outstanding with lots of clothes, jewellery etc not sure how often they’re on. We stumbled on them accidentally and were very happy 😀

It is a nice town at the lake.
It is a nice town at the lake. One week was a bit long, market day is every Sunday and this is not something I personally enjoy. Did a boat trip to isola Bella which was super nice. Hiked to the grotto and swam it ice cold water.

A pretty lakeside town both on the waterfront and internally. More low key than Stresa and Verbania but plenty of bars and cafes to suit all price ranges. It is a tranquil place with a nice vibe in the evenings and quite a buzzing lido area plus the ability to swim off the lakefront at the other quieter end of town. It is immaculately maintained and there are a fair few shops to browse.

The town is extremely beautiful and the restaurants are excellent. My only concern is that everything is geared towards the Germans, ie the menus, the choice of wines and we were often spoken to in German by staff untill we informed them that we were English.

The Lago Maggiore is a really exciting experience: coming...
The Lago Maggiore is a really exciting experience: coming down from the Alpes and "diving" into a luxurious nature!
Cannobio is on the italian shore a few km beyond the Swiss border - it has the charme of Italy, the cleanliness of Switzerland, the flair of the southern slope of the Alpes, and the scents of the mediterranean flora
It feels.like arriving at your luxury summer Italian home. Francesca has renovated her grand mother estate with such taste. It is beautiful. The room was spacious and elegant with an incredible view of the lake. Delicious breakfasts were served on the balcony overlooking the lake. We loved that we could wake up in Italy and go hike in Switzerland within the same day. Check out Valle Maggia and the film frstival of Locarno. If you have a car, drive up ( and I mean up) to the farm/ restaurant Da Attilio for a delicious lunch with a view.
This was our second stay at B&B AZALEA. We were as impressed and delighted as we were during our first visit in 2014: a very friendly host who goes out of her way to help you; a beautiful house with garden located in a tranquil area [save for the occasional mad dog in your neighborhood :))] yet only a 10-minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of the historical center of Cannobio; delicious breakfast; ample space to park your car (not a given in towns like Cannobio!).
Highly recommended. This beautifully renovated hotel provides fresh new rooms with high quality furnishings and linens. It is immaculately kept and the wonderfully charming hosts provide a delicious and varied breakfast every morning served in their very cute courtyard or lovely dining room. And it is only a few minute walk to the lake with many restaurants and cafes just steps away. A really terrific place to stay.
After a bit of confusion (they had listed both us and the couple we travelled with as single occupants for breakfast), we got things straightened out and enjoyed our breakfast. The breakfast server didn't speak English, we didn't speak Italian. The chef, who spoke English, came out from the kitchen and got things straightened out. They seemed very eager to make our stay enjoyable.
We've had a wonderful stay at B&B Spiaggia Amore, Cannobio. The location was fantastic, right at the lake and very close to the center of Cannobio, but still very quiet. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a beautiful interior and a great breakfast with all you wished to have. Alessia was a wonderful host. Thank you so much. We will definately come again.
This hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the lake and to Cannobio. The room was not that big but it was clean and the balcony is nice. Breakfast is good too, and the restaurant serves great pizza's as well. The pool area is a nice space, not big but clean, with chairs and a really great view.
Perfect location in the center of Connobio. We were in the dependance - annexed to the main hotel and had a room that opened up to a beautiful courtyard. Very quiet and well-maintained hotel. Felt like we were guests in a 19th century villa. Free parking right next to the hotel. Amazing value.
Angelo was a very welcoming host and spent time with us on recommendations for restaurants and what to do in the town. Although a couple of km out of town, there is an excellent summer bus service that runs until late in the evening.
Such an awesome hotel, very unique interior and perfect location! Mario, Barbara & Luca are great hosts! We felt immediately like home and would always go back there! If you’re looking for a unique vacation to remember, this is it!
The campground is walking distance from the centre of Cannobio and many places for drinks and dinner. Also the lake access of the campground is really nice for swimming. The appartment were we stayed was spacious and well equipped.
A fantastic location with a position on the lake better than a five star hotel . Tranquil and private but 2 minutes from a great selection of restaurants.
Beautiful terraces , charming owner . Dog friendly
The view of Lago Maggiore was amazing. The food was some of the best I had in Italy during out stay. There were lots of great hiking trails nearby. The staff was friendly and their pets were adorable.
Best location you can find in Cannobio. Very clean flat with 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Remarkably quiet in the evenings & nights so sleeping with windows open was possible.
