Carloforte is an old village of colorful houses, you can breathe an air of joy and friendly people. The only thing is that there is not much tourist information of the place, very bad signage on the road to find the beaches, they charge tax for 3 to 5 euros to use the cutlery on your plate of food in restaurants and we find it INCREDIBLE, if one pays that because you can not take the cutlery? Nowhere in the world do they charge for cutlery. And this happens all over Sardinia. I recommend a gelateria in front of the DECOLMAR boats, a yogurt ice cream with a delicious cherry sauce, it is attended by his father and son ... IL DIVINE FRUIT. A delicious pizza in the PIZZERIA NAPOLI near the square or central park of Carloforte is served by father mother and daughter, local and family businesses and we liked that, it benefits local tourism.

We enjoyed driving around to the far side of the island which isn't very big. We especially liked Il Colonne area on the southern side of the island. The beaches that we saw were mostly rocky beaches and not sandy.

Lovely little island to visit for a few days.
Lovely little island to visit for a few days. We stayed in the town, which was great. You only need 2 nights really though.
If you like snorkelling make sure you visit Cala Sapone on Sant'Antioco, the island next door to Carloforte. It's a little cove, and if you swim out a bit it's absolutely insane!! My favourite beach day of two weeks in Sardinia by a long way.

Off the beaten track.
Off the beaten track. Great to visit outside the busy season - end September/October. Lots of places closed but enough open to experience some decent food. Id highly recommend Pomata Bistrot, had a wonderful meal, great atmosphere.

Worth to visit especially during September and October, out of the crowd of tourist. You can walk along paths from beaches to cliffs or hills, swim, ride a bike or have relax on the beach, watch the endogenous Eleonora's hawks. Carloforte is warm and cosy village.
Exceptional agriturismo with friendly conversational owner who prepares a super breakfast with focaccia straight from the oven, homemade cakes, great café and savoury options if you can manage! 😋.
Wonderful tranquil location 2 mins from Carloforte with beautiful dawn views from the terraces 👍. Great beaches a few mins by car or bike, easy access to Isla Diving and superb sites around San Pietro 👌.
We had a fantastic week based here and will doubtless return in the future 😄!
Our stay was incredible. Pasquale and Anna were perfect hosts in every aspect of our stay. Always attentive to our needs. Generous with their time and genuine warmth.
The room was perfect, as was the delicious breakfast which they served every morning. Lastly the location was perfect. We recommend their property to anyone looking for a fabulous stay in Carloforte.
This place is at a stunning, secluded location surrounded by nature, but only 5 km from Carloforte. The restaurant was closed the evening we arrived, but thankfully a wonderful member of staff made a real effort and provided us with salami, ham, cheese, melon and a bottle of wine. A perfect start of our stay.
The pool is in perfect condition, large and beautiful.
The staff there is helpful and able to make things work at very short notice. The room had a terrace with views of the port and the hills. There was a large breakfast buffet with wait staff. This felt like a splurge, but the price was economy. The location could not be closer to the ferry landing and the local cafes. Definitely the best hotel on my whole trip.
Gracious hosts who Pasquale and Anna really made are visit to Carloforte special. They provided restaurant suggestions (all excellent), maps and for island stops. We had very comfortable accommodations -each room was individually decorated attractively by Anna. The breakfasts were ample - lovingly prepared by our hosts who made delicious tarts, and pastries.
Breakfast was good but there is no parking and the street is a one way and very narrow and downhill. As we had big suitcases it was really difficult for us to get them inside but I am sure it suits Italians and the local people who don't have much luggage.
Lots of space both in and around the property. Excellent location, very close to the beach. Well equipped kitchen. Very private. We stayed at a number of properties on our mini tour of Sardinia, Villa La Caletta had one of the most comfortable beds
Very friendly hostess! Beautiful home! Charming style. Felt at home. Stay is a B&B format. Easy location near Carloforte.
Stayed an extra night. Breakfast was good!
Dog friendly home. Adorable French bulldogs.
Our visit was exceptional! We needed a mini break snd found tranquility and peace at this hotel. Food and service was great, pool was clean and warm. Kid friendly and beautiful setting. Highly recommend!
Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet, nice bathroom, good breakfast, good bed, clean. Incredible value. We absolutely loved Carloforte. Easy to walk everywhere and a very friendly town.
In this apartment you can find everything you need - it's very clean and well equipped. The staff is super nice.
Carloforte is one of the most beautiful places in which we've been in Italy.
The flat is right at the heart of Carloforte, there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Particularly good fruit and veggies right in front of the flat.
Fairly expensive camping like hotel, not so great value for money.
Location was very nice though.
Frankly, breakfast is to be avoided, honestly very poor.
