This property deserves top marks when it comes to staff. All of them are very well trained, everyone is kind. That is the biggest advantage to choose this hotel. In addition to such friendly staff, you can sometimes forget about certain shortcomings. The food is varied and delicious.

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The location is excellent, just across the street from arguably the best beach in Mauritius.
While the food choice was not over the top, the quality of food was excellent, including tuna, prawns, octopus, squids, and crab soup for dinner.

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels. Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic.
The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic. You can get anything there, even gifts. The Coffee shop at the Super U was two times cheaper than the other Coffee Shops. It is not very expensive at the Super U. The hotel has a nice spa, the activities were nice including Credits depending on the length of your stay. The staff is very nice and mostly helpful. However, the shower was broken and the shower door was leaking water so that every time we took a shower half the bathroom was under water. The baths and toilet were not properly cleaned and the sun lounger at the pool were dirty.

Tamarin is a coastal village without the big hotels but lovely beach areas, nice restaurants and handy shopping facilities near a lot of the tourist sites on the west coast. It is a good located city.
It is a good located city. If you wish to explore this area of island, its a good place from where to start. You will find at least two bigger shop, where you can buy food and other supplies. The Tamarin beach is also very nice (the smaller one was better for us).BarboraCzech Republic

It offers both a large terrace with jacuzzi where it invites you to have breakfast or dinner, overlooking the sunrise/sunset. There is a well-stocked large supermarket nearby, and the beach is within walking distance. Tamarin is a town strategically located for trips to the whole island. The swimming pool and the garden are amazing and relaxing. The view (especially early morning) is magnificent and you have a great access to small beaches. The appartment is the perfect set up for 8 people with a bathroom in each room, and you can park your car inside. Staff is very nice and smilling but you need to speak french or creole if you want to understand most of their saying.
