The Caloundra area is really nice. Many hotels to pick from.
The Caloundra area is really nice. Many hotels to pick from. Depending on what you're looking for.. i.e., Kings Beach is a happening area. Golden Beach is a little quieter. Places to visit are The Real Grocer, Cali Breeze for awesome burgers and fish and chips, and Amici's pizza (make reservations early when you know you want to go). The Amici Special pizza is the bomb! The RSL Club is nice to visit... loved the tribute to the military.

Caloundra has always been a favourite holiday destination...
Caloundra has always been a favourite holiday destination for me. Not far to anything! Depending on where you stay, you can park on arrival and never need to drive until end of stay! Beaches are the best.
The property is conveniently located for the CBD and also a shopping centre with both Coles and Woolworths. All staff that I encountered were friendly, helpful and efficient. My stay included ANZAC Day so there were several large parties of veterans staying. This put a strain on the restaurant staff but they remained polite and friendly and apologised for the extended wait times. The room I occupied was clean and well equipped including all kitchen utensils that I needed.
Fantastic location, walking distance to shops including IGA and plenty of places to eat. We went to a show at the Event Centre and it was an easy walk. The bus station just across the road took us to Mooloolaba without worrying about driving and parking. lovely view over the water and spit. There is a easy track that takes you all the way to Kings Beach. Although we didn’t use it the pool area was nice and had plenty of seating.
The view 😍 We have stayed at the Ramada golden beach about 5 times. This last time we had a 3 bedroom on the top floor 😍🤤The view at both daytime and night was breath taking! The master suite up stairs was to die for! With a full ocean view from your bed and shower 😍The facilities at the Ramada are always amazing! And the Thai restaurant downstairs, copper spoon does devine food! 🙌 Already planning our next trip back!
The hotel was very close to basically everything you could need, a pub, woollies and other shops within a 5 minute walk. The shore was about a 10 minute walk down the road, and then only a short drive to shopping centres and other attractions. The room itself had everything you could need with super comfy beds, lovely bathroom and a little kitchenette. Staff were helpful and lovely too.

Staff were fabulous, nothing was to much trouble.
Location was great, slightly out of Caloundra, it was really peaceful, no traffic etc. The pool was amazing and one of the reasons we booked this hotel, we travelled in a group of 11, with 6 kids in tow ranging from 2-6 and the pool suited all ages. There was a shallow area for the younger kids and they all had so much fun!
Very friendly staff. Having an on site restaurant is handy, but not cheap. I was in the smallest available room, on the top floor (three storeys). Being on the top, and at the opposite end to the water park, was excellent - no noise at all at night and I slept well both nights. I liked having a window that actually opens (unlike many hotels) to get some fresh air.
Amazing location on the beachfront of Happy Valley, the views were incredible. Great location to walk up to the main street, markets and restaurants/ cafes or to the waterfront and playground, etc. Room was well furnished, very comfortable, great tv channel selection and an overall great stay. We will definitely book at the Waterview and at this room again!
Perfectly located at Kings beach. Walk across the pedestrian footpath and you are on the beach.
Heated pool and well kept fully equipped apartment.
Large screen TV with plenty of entertainment options including popular subscription services like Netflix.
All apartmenta have beautiful ocean views.
Location as excellent, 100 meters from Kings Beach. You can walk along the boardwalk, you can also if inclined walk into Caloundra. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor with view of the ocean from the balcony, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms.
It was a wonderful stay at the Monaco Caloundra. Check in was easy, the unit was clean and the location was fantastic! The views were amazing and we enjoyed our stay very much. It was also close walking distance to the cafes and beach.
Location is amazing right across from Kings Beach with great uninterrupted views out to sea. Short walk to town centre.
Good sized apartment.
Shawn helped us carry our bags up the stairs.
Two bathrooms
Salt and pepper provided.
Wonderfully clean and spacious apartment with large balcony and the best equipped kitchen I've ever encountered in holiday accommodation. The home baked cookies left by the managers were also a welcome and tasty touch.
Our room was really large, clean and comfortable and looked out over the grounds (no balcony). It was just a short drive to Caloundra and beaches, the lagoon was lovely. The waterpark would be excellent for children.
Only a 1 night stay to attend a show at the Caloundra Event Center. Good place to stay due to It's location. All staff that worked in the hotel & at the bars were friendly and courteous and very efficent.
Location was a pleasant surprise as we had not heard of Kings beach.
The nearby bar and surf club were very good.
We didn’t walk the full boardwalk walk into Caloundra but will give it a go next time
We have stayed in several rooms in this resort and all have had an excellent view of Kings Beach. The beach is just across the road so easy access for swimming, beach walks etc.
