We truly loved and enjoyed our stay in the Gomang hotel - our room was clean, bright and spacious, hotel made delicious breakfasts both Continental and Indian food and hotel staff was very lovely and helpful in any way we needed. Gomang hotel is situated in the upper part of the Changspa road in calm and green environment that is a pleasure to walk around. In case you need to go downtown, it´s very easy 10-15 minute walk. We´ll be glad to stay here again on our next trip to Leh!

5 days in Leh with my spouse was pure magic! We explored ancient monasteries, gasped at turquoise Pangong Tso, and hand-in-hand, braved the high altitudes. Leh's beauty brought us closer, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Leh is cold throughout the year.
Leh is cold throughout the year. That is the basic point we to remember. And at a altitude with its associated problems. Otherwise it is great holiday spot. So much to see.
A definite must to visit many times.

Most visitors to Leh prefer to stay longer to tour the valleys nearby. We went during the off-season and the main reason was to get away from the Delhi chaos over a weekend. So Leh served its purpose for us. The main market area has good cafes, restaurants and shops. Shanti Stupa is also present in Leh. Good vibes nothing less. Leh has a large Indian Army presence so we felt very safe and secure :)

Scenic views all around with the most amazing people! Momos were my favourite local dish that you can find at most restaurants. Love that Leh is more pedestrian friendly and quiet compared to the rest of India. Perfect destination for relaxation.

Its always in the bucket list of most Indians. Has the highest motorable roads, its a paradise for adventure seekers, highest saltwater lake, cold desert, treacherous roads, borders mof two neighbouring countries. Its a must visit place.

I was expecting a little more of the city.
I was expecting a little more of the city. The market is nice, I had some fine food, but the streets and sidewalks are too disorganized, there are signs "don't walk alone in the dark because of the stray dogs" (?!?!?), it's pretty smoggy and conservation in general is lacking. Came by bicycle through the Manali-Leh road, which was amazing, but the city itself wasn't a highlight of the trip.
An Exceptional Stay at Hotel Gyalpo Residency: A Hidden Gem in Hospitality

Whether you're visiting [leh Ladakh ] for business or pleasure, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Gyalpo Residency for an unforgettable stay. Del and his family made us at home. We had a superb experience on our stay with them. The rooms were priced economically. The amenities (rooms, bathroom...) were excellent. The breakfast was exceptional. Whenever we were tired in the evenings and asked them to prepare food, they presented us with homecooked food which was tasty and the portions were huge.
They went out of their way to make us comfortable
Will definitely be staying here again when I revisit Leh
-It is at such a convenient location, you can get to the main market by bus instantly.
- The hotel facilities are up to standard. Bedding are comfortable.
- The food is traditional but not heavily Indian, which makes visitors feel more at ease when eating it.
- The owner who is Nubrian is quite kind and hospitable. He is willing to give you some helpful suggestions incase you need support.
Lhachik Guest House is a homestay in Leh, run by a local family. It's in a good, quiet location, it has a great viewing terrace up top, the rooms are big and clean, but above all it really gives a great insight into life in Leh for a Ladakhi family.
The owners couldn't be nicer, they're ready to help no matter what and, above all, they prepare some AMAZING FOOD for next to nothing.
I had a really amazing stay here, I spent two nights at the start of my trip to Ladakh and one more night before flying out. The whole family showed absolutely amazing hospitality, and the home cooked meals were amazing - definitely have dinner there! The view from the terrace in the morning is also glorious and peaceful. Highly recommend this place
Stok Village is situated approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Leh, the main town of Ladakh. It is known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination among tourists. Stok Village offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is a gateway to the Stok Kangri trek, which is a challenging but rewarding trekking experience.
1. Very scenic setting, with Apricot, Apple, flowers, veggies growing in their house. 2. Beautiful views from room windows. 3. Very good Ladakhi food. 4. Easy to locate & reach -- right next to State Bank Saspol. 5. Good as a base to explore Red Caves (Bago Marpo), Alchi monastery, River Indus, Iron age cave dwellings & rock art etc
Comfortable, cozy rooms and a gorgeous apple and apricot garden to bask in the sunlight! All the staff are excellent, especially Anu who is full of useful information about acclimatization, planning your trips in Ladakh and also about local food recommendations! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and also the yummy breakfast spread.
We stayed here for 4 nights. It is one of those stays where words can’t describe the great views, great hospitality, great food. Nico and Mary have done the entire place very tastefully and helped us find out about open routes, guides, hotels in other places in ladakh as well. Would love to visit them in our next trip :D
Behaviour of the staff and owner is exceptionally good. Hotel is located at the market and it's very convenient in terms of every expect.Mr. Sonam ji, Vishal ji, Sumit ji and offcourse Lama(Buddha) are always ready to help you out of the way. Ladakh is a wonderful place and our stay at mentokling added a lot into it.
It's a very warm, welcoming, and serene place right in the heart of the city. We traveled in our own car and Mr Dorjey was extremely helpful and guided us very well about our journey across ladakh. Service is also very quick. Another plus point is the food... Everything is good here.. overal a very comfortable stay.
It was a home away from home. And, our host Mr. Sangay made us feel at home and, always went out of the way to assist us with whatever we could have asked for. During our entire stay, we're served traditional Ladakhi cuisine.. simple and tasteful. Highly recommended 👌
The manager was very friendly and polite and helped us perfectly to plan our stay in Ladakh.
The food was good and made as per order.
The rooms are decent size with nice mountain view for most of them. Nice patio to chill on while acclimatization.
Every one at Metnokling is amazing. Super nice people all around. They helped me book taxis, get permits, everything I needed. The owner even took me on a taxi tour which I learned a great deal about Ladakh from. Amazing place.
The ambience of the homestay was fabulous, we got Ladakhi style warmed welcome when we reach. We also like the apples served and given tos us while leaving, the hospitality touched our hearts 💖
It was a nice experience for my family to stay in Chospa Hotel in Leh. The staffs were very kind to us and hospitality was also very good.
