Lund was basically a college town, and very old college town. Lund University was established in 1666, one of the oldest and most prestigious Universities in Nordic Europe. Lund is a very cozy town, with three Systembolaget (only place we can buy wines).
The headquarters building of the university was gorgeously beautiful. The Faculty of Sociology of Law (independent from the Faculty of Law) accpets ca. 400 students every year. One of the must-visit places is the Lunds Domkyrka (Cathedral), which was build in 1145. Every place is within walking distance from the Central Station.
Lund is about 40 minute-train-ride from the Copenhagen Airport and 10 minute-ride from Malmo. Malmo is also one of the cozy town you must visit and enjoy (a little larger and more modernaized than Lund).

Lund is a pretty medieval city with a lot of history.
Lund is a pretty medieval city with a lot of history. I was inly there for less than a day, so bot a lot of detail, but:
- the domkyrka is worth seeing (special mention of the crypt and the astronomical clock)
- Kulturen is very well presented - it's a sgame i didn't gave time to see the outdoor part
- the botanical garden is very nice
- food-wise: I recommend Saluhallen and Broder Jakobs Bakery in Klostergatan, and I also enjoyed the salad i got from Waynes Coffee
I would not recommend visiting Lund on a Sunday afternoon, though- a lot of interesting places will be closed.
Lund is quite walkable and has good bike paths.

Nice cozy town to walk around, even in wintertime.
Nice cozy town to walk around, even in wintertime. In the spring, however, everything blooms, and it's even more charming. Visit Sankt Hans Backar for an overview of the city and don't miss the botanical gardens. When you get tired you can relax and enjoy Swedish fika in one of the many cafes or pastry shops.
Royal breakfast and dinner, it is why I was so satisfied. It is a family hotel and the name at first time was a bit mystical but the local people explained that it is because of the famous historic theater play with this name Djingis Khan which was really popular in history of Lund and it explains anything. The Hotel by itself seems a bit a la 80-ties, but clean and because of this royal breakfast and dinner it is worth it.
The bathroom floor was very warm. The room was super amazing and cozy. The location was also perfect. The staff was welcoming and understanding as the check out was at 10 but I asked for an extension and they were fine with it.
You can communicate with them through a phone call as there is no receptionist. The hotel is slef service, you just open the door and look for your room!
The first night we stayed in a family room. Spacious, very comfortable & clean. Through no fault of the hotel (it was then fully booked) we had to move to a small double room (which I would not recommend as it is small) and the bed is a double. Great breakfast .. plenty to choose from. The staff were all very friendly. There is a laundry room with a washing machine & dryer.
The hotel is in an old town house tight in the center. The location is fantastic, everything you want to see in Lund is 5-minutes walk away. It’s located in a quiet road. The building is very nice, with rooms tiny but comfortable. The bed vas very comfortable and the room vas very clean. The bathroom was timy but ok.
I was really amazed, how every process from check-in to check-out was fully automated. It was really satisfying to be that independent from anyone, since you could do everything yourself - maybe it's common in Sweden, but it is unimaginable in Germany! That way, you immediately felt at home. Also, I liked the Gym :)
Friendly ambience
This hotel is in a great location
There is tea and coffee available in reception all day which is a bonus
The area is so convenient for the shops and the beautiful Lund central area
The supermarket is particularly good with really great staff and excellent service
The hotel is very lovely with its special architecture: 2 buildings are connected by a glass roof and stairs, forming a cozy inner "yard" space. The city center is within walking distance. Very quiet at night. The rooftop terrace for evening picknicks!!!
The room was perfect, big, comfortable, all included. more like a 5 star hotel service.
breakfast - very good, Swedish style. everyone can find something to eat. fresh juices, smoothies, good coffee and all types of breakfast food.
The hotel offers the perfect space for visiting scientists to MAX IV. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and practical. The breakfast is good on the hosts very helpful. It is my favorite place to stay when working in Lund.
Very nice hotel, very comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast included many varieties. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. Public transportation (tram) was nearby. Great choice for people visiting ESS or the LTH.
Beautiful Hôtel friendly staff and the restaurant was fantastic. It was very busy and had a great vibe! Our first room was perfect with full walk in shower and larger comfy bed Coffee served on our floor daily!!!

Would definitely recommend this hotel
I boked 2 rooms as I was travelling to Vimmerby Sweden from Germany. The plan was to stay a night in Lund. I couldn't reach on that day so I asked to re book. And it was done. So happy with the service
The breakfast was excellent. We could use the hotel's bicycles free of charge and you can reach almost everything in a short time with them. The staff was very friendly.
Great morning breakfast buffet, phenomenal location. Walking distance from central train station, easy walk to the best parts of Lund, charming cobblestone streets.
