Such a beautifull place and setting. Wonderfull people, staff and little town.
Located at the foot of the ski slopes, Historic Hotel Falken was one of the first hotels in the Jungfrau region. It offers a music room, a terrace and guided walks.

A beautiful, well run hotel with stunning views in an exceptional town. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and we were not disappointed. It is a comfortable walk from the train station and right around the corner (steps away) from an indian, asian and an italian restaurant. We had the very best Ramen in that tiny Asian restaurant. There are also many other traditional Swiss restaurants within the immediate vicinity.
The breakfasts at the hotel were lovely and the service friendly and attentive.
The walks around this town should blow your mind.
Having walked the town extensively we would choose this hotel again, upon a return visit.

Staff is amazing. Buying the breafast and dinner plan is almost essential as the food prices in the area are outrageous. We went to a less expensive place and had two hamburgers, a hot dog, and one kebab plate (inedible) for over $80! So the dinner at the hotel would have been better. Breakfast was wonderful and worth the extra cost. I was ill and the staff and owners went out of their way to offer help. They even gave me their private number in case I needed to be driven to hospital in the middle of the night. The hotel is exceptional.

I liked Wengen very much. There’s a decent selection of restaurants and a few shops to browse around. It’s easy to get to and easy to get to Mürren and Grindelwald from. The scenery is stunning and everyone was very friendly. A great stay

Our first trip to Wengen and although it’s a trek to get there it is easy using Swiss rail network. Fabulous mountain village and benefits from being traffic free. The skiing was great although not extensive and other areas are a challenge to get to but enough above the town for a weeks casual skiing. Those who like to travel around may find it restrictive. There is one T bar lift to get back to Wengen if you traverse to Klein Schenigg which is a pain but you can either ski down to Wengen or take the train if T bars are not your thing ( not ours!). The town has a range or bars and restaurants but is peaceful. A few shops too selling ski wear, walking gear and Swiss stuff as you would expect. Local food shops are well stocked as well. We used the COOP mainly. They also sell firewood if your place has a log burner.
We went to ski but would love to go back in warmer times to trek as it looks fabulous!

Wengen was straight out of a postcard!
Wengen was straight out of a postcard! The town was charming and the views were second to none. The vacation was wonderful for us as a couple, but is also very family friendly. There were well behaved dogs with many of the visitors as well. I cannot wait to return!

The setting in the Jungfrau Region is jaw-dropping.
The setting in the Jungfrau Region is jaw-dropping. Small village feel with accomodations ranging from rustic to luxurious. Traffic-free, except for the occassional taxi or public works vehicle. Train access to high apline environment is unparalleled! Just wish the snow was better in late January.

Stunning scenery wherever you go.
Stunning scenery wherever you go. Good mix of transport options (train, gondola, cable cars) - just need a bit of patience as only runs every 15-30 mins. Great place for sledding, walking and just enjoying the majestic mountains.

Very cute town with lots of local places to eat/drink and shop on the on-season. Since we were there during slack, there were VERY few options. Wouldn't recommend unless it's full-on winter or full-on summer!
The staff were incredible and made us feel like family. Each morning at breakfast they checked in with each guest and helped us plan our day based on the weather and other local activities. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is situated in a beautiful location with a lovely front garden. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Dinners were also delicious -- made with fresh vegetables from the garden and put together with care from the chef and all staff. Definitely recommend this place for a lovely stay in Wengen!
This hotel far exceeded my expectations. Even the smaller room I booked had everything I needed, including a patio facing the mountain and a desk for me to work at (plus free drinks in the mini-bar!). The bar/lounge area was such a great space to grab a drink after a day of hiking, and I loved the pool/sauna/steam room area. Best of all, the hotel staff were so accommodating, even offering to move my room when I told them there was a noisy family next door. I will stay here next time I visit for sure!
The location of the hotel is superb, just next to Wengen train station. We booked a family room for 4 so has an upperdeck for the kids and they love it. Reception staffs were very helpful and there was a dedicated luggage storage room in case you need to check out but still hanging around the area, in our case, we checked out at 7am and proceeded to Jungfraujoch, only returning to Wengen in the evening to collect our luggage and return to interlaken. Breakfast was good as well. Weather is awesome!
Views from our balcony room were superb. The size of the double room was very satisfactory. The property was quiet. The breakfast was ample if repetitive. The friendly staff was very helpful transporting us and our luggage up and down the Hill from the Wengen train station. We enjoyed the walks up the hill to the hotel after each filling Swiss dinner down in the village of Wengen. We are very glad we stayed in tranquil, low-key Wengen rather than crowded, touristy Grindelwald.
This property is in such an awesome location with amazing views and the person at the front desk was great; he was very friendly and went out of his way to assist us. We stayed in a family suite with a queen bed downstairs and two twin beds in the loft. The room was great with a balcony and views on both sides. Waking up to falling snow and views of the snow capped mountains was amazing.
Also loved that the hotel is pet friendly and right next to the Wengen station.
Cosy, comfortable and well-equipped apartment a few minutes walk from the centre of Wengen, at the entrance to the Hotel Wengerhof grounds.
We had the one bedroom apartment Mönch on the ground floor. Plenty of room for two people, full kitchen and a nice balcony as well as access to the HotelcWengerhof gardens.
The apartment is in typical Swiss 1970s/1980s style but perfectly comfortable and functional. We’d be happy to stay there again.
Incredible hotel! Great location with an amazing view of the mountains. Just a 5 minute walk from Wengen station which is only a 15 minute train ride from Lauterbrunnen. Wengen is so lovely and a lot quieter than Lauterbrunnen. The buffet breakfast was excellent, so much choice. Downstairs had free tea and coffee all day and night, games to play and books to read. Staff were very helpful and gave us great advice about what to see.
Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip-- I wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfast was exceptional and a perfect start to the day. Coming back in the evenings and relaxing in the hot tub was so relaxing. The proximity to the Wengen rail station made it so easy to get to and from our adventures. I hope that we can make another visit someday!
This property is a grand hotel with the most amazing views. We paid slightly more for a room with a view and I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing vista from a hotel room. The room was large with a balcony that we spent much time sitting on. We visited many of the surrounding towns but voted Wengen the best - it is small and absolutely gorgeous
This hotel far exceeded our expectations!!! We cannot wait to visit again in Wengen and would love to stay at this hotel again. Wish we had more time here!! This is one of the few times that the in-person experience exceed the photos of the property advertised! :) Also the staff were VERY friendly and helpful! 10/10 recommend!
The stay here exceeds my expectation. Booked one night for the room with luxury view. On the lovely beautiful balcony u get superb view of mountain Jungfrau and the town of Wengen. It’s a hotel plus restaurant, really like the wooden touch & deco of the place. Breakfast ok too, loved their pastry
The view is unbeatable from the rooms. The location is also perfect, its a quiet place in Wengen. The man who owns the hotel (with his wife?) is also very nice and smily/positive.
BUT: go to Gimmelwald. Wengen is too much touristy- Gimmelwald is the real Switzerland.
Amazing hotel at an excellent location. Breakfast was the best I had in Switzerland. Staff goes above and beyond to assist. Balazs at reception was very kind and gave excellent suggestions. Do not miss the Wengen view point, five minute walk from Hotel.
Good size room with twin beds. Mountain view. Hotel staff were exceptional. Nice variety at breakfast. Excellent restaurant. Located on the main road in Wengen. Cable car and train access within just a few minutes.
Splendid views from the balcony and generally an amazing location in a nice cosy town of Wengen! Superb dinner and extremely friendly staff! The best hotel in the Swiss mountains I've been too and also the cheapest :)
A wonderful hotel, with lots of nice staff and excellent restaurant! Their manager is awesome! I booked this hotel just one night in Wengen but I definitely will stay here all the time next time!
Dinner and breakfast were both great (in terms of both price and quality), and the view was breathtaking. The hotel is in Wengen and overlooks Lauterbrunnen.
