Really nice spacious flat under the main house with private entry. Well equipped and everything worked well including WIFI (it always seems to in Iceland). Easy parking just a few meters away and plenty of classic glaciated landscapes and fjord scenery in the area. Good supermarket in the town, also petrol.

Ideal localization, near the sea. Big house with full equipment, lots of space and clean. In addition, the hot water pool on the terrace is really great, we had a very nice time. I reccomended it!

The location is off the beaten path, secluded and authentic, amidst a bird colony and wild view. The road there is not for the weak of heart :)
Set in the quiet countryside of the Icelandic West Fjords, this guesthouse offers rooms with sea views and breakfast, as well as hostel-style self-catering rooms.

Beautiful location and very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was perfect with a lot of homemade products like the bread and jam.
Last but not least beautiful base to visit the puffins in the evening.

Eat at Flak Cafe - the best fist soup ever.
Eat at Flak Cafe - the best fist soup ever. The young chef is a gem and the bartender a joy. This is the chef's first summer -- eat there while you can. The desert is also extraordinary: rhubarb and chocolate!! The appetizer is delicious.

We used Patreksfjordur as a home base for two nights in the Latrabjarg peninsula and Western Fjords. The Latrabjarg Bird Cliffs were stunning. The puffins aren’t shy and you can get within a few feet of them. Millions of other birds too. This was one of the best days of our trip. The Rauoasandur beach was also amazing. You will need a full day to do both. But we’ll worth it. The town has a large swimming pool but we chose a small thermal pool at Flokalunder near the ferry. Ate at Flak which is a bar serving only soup and drinks which was very good and satisfying. They had a folk group entertainment which was an unexpected treat. Also ate at Stukuhusid. Need reservations here which I arranged on line before we left home. Great dinner. Last day we drove to Isafjordur which was a long trip on gravel and paved roads and through two long tunnels. But interesting drive and an adventure.

Small fishing village overlooking a beautiful fjord.
Small fishing village overlooking a beautiful fjord. Great place to pull in for a night after a day of exploring Westfjords. Restaurant close to Hotel West is exceptional - can't beat seafood caught on that day.
Great location. Within walking distance of restaurants, swimming pool and town. Nice view of the ocean from our room. Room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast hostess was especially friendly and attentive. All staff helpful. We stayed here extra nights as a home base to see the Western Fjords. Try FLAK bar for great soup and entertainment. Also Stukuhusid restaurant. Really great food, tho you might need a reservation. Highly recommend this hotel.
Room a bit small, but we booked the last available room last minute and arrived super late, so probably our fault. Reception staff very friendly, waited patiently for us to arrive late at night. Room was clean and we had an amazing view from the shower over the sea. Breakfast good with a friendly female staff member who was happy to help you out with anything. Wifi worked fine. Parking spots right in front of the hotel.
Really nice place to stay in lovely Patreksfjörður. From the common room/dining room you have a great view of the fjord, and was a great place to relax. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are shared but they were also really clean and didn't pose any issues. Breakfast was fantastic. Patreksfjörður is a small town, so getting to restaurants and whatnot was very easy.
The room was super clean and comfortable. My room and my friends' rooms were close together. Two of my friends' room even had ocean view and my room was mountain view. Very convenience location. The breakfast was excellent with quite a few choices. I will love to come back to this hotel if I go to Iceland Westfjord again.
I really liked the breakfast, with fresh waffles and croissants and a lovely selection of toppings. The shared bathroom was exceptionally tidy and stylish and we thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. If not for the fog in Patreksfjörður that evening, I'm sure the view from the room would have been excellent!
Breakfast buffet was very good with many options. Hotel is right across the road from the fjord and our room had a full window direct view of the water and the sunset. The room was clean and comfortable and bathroom was a little larger than many of the places we had stayed.
The check in receptionist worked hard to change my room to a fjord view.
I have learnt on my trip around Iceland that the larger hotel chains prioritise the group bookings to have the best rooms.
I found the reception staff all to be really helpful and accommodating.
This hotel was continently located to explore the bird cliffs Latrabjarg and the beautiful beach RaõLysander. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This was a good stopping place for a night as we explored the Westfjords.
Better than any hotel we stayed at during our vacation. Very clean and comfortable. A gorgeous view from the bedrooms. A perfect base to explore the area. Very friendly and available host who will gladly help you with any questions you might have.
The room was a standard hotel room, including a boiler to make your own coffee in the morning. The hotel's restaurant was quite nice, offering one of the only options for food in this small village. The food was very tasty!
Hotel West is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The beds were super comfy, and the views from the room - directly looking onto the fjord - was wonderful, especially during sunset. Breakfast was also nice,
Big picture windows in bedroom and breakfast room overlooking the fjord.
Nice decor creating a lovely ambience
Patio area outside the hotel and comfortable guest lounge area
Nicely presented breakfast
Everything.Room was wonderful.Breakfast was excellent as was the serving lady.We stayed in the family room and could go in and out without going in the main hotel.
