Hotel was perfect for our needs.
We arrived at 5.30am and luckily for us the room was ready and the guy on reception let us check in, we are really grateful for that.
Location was close to a main road so it was easy for bus/tour pick ups and easy walking distance to the main square. Each night they would ask what time we would be having breakfast, on both occasions were leaving early 4/5am and so they had take away lunch packs ready for us when we were leaving!

Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano
La Lecoreta Monastery with Museum and Library, Mercado san Camilo, Viewpoint Square in the Yanahuara District, Santa Catalina Monastery Complex, Santuarios Andinos University Museum with the Juanita Mummy
It was an amazing and awesome stay at Holy Hostel for 6 nights (instead of 1 night at the beginning !).
Aron has a great sense of hospitality and does everything to make his guests feel good.
The rooftop on the bar is beautiful and bartenders are excellent. it was a pleasure to take my breakfast here the morning.
The location of the hostel is ideal, it is close to the city-centre, museums, also nearby some very nice restaurants and cafés.
I highly recommend Holy Hostel for your future stay in Arequipa !
I had a very comfortable stay here!
One of the best hotels I stayed in Peru!
The location is great and only few minutes walk to the main attractions in Arequipa and the central square.
The room was extremely clean. The mattress and bedding was super comfortable. Nice, spacious bathroom with hot shower and good water pressure.
The downstairs lobby had filtered cold or hot water to make tea which was very convenient.
The staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly.
our stay at La Plaza Arequipa was incredible. the staff was super accommodating to our needs and so very nice. the location is superb, you’re close to everything: shops, taxis, restaurants etc. the hotel itself was beautiful and spotless. Highlight for me was being able to enjoy breakfast from the balcony that overlooked La Plaza de Armas. Looking forward to our next trip to Arequipa where we will definitely be back! Thank you again to the staff, you are incredible!
We arrived at 9am after an 11 hour overnight bus ride to the very welcome news that we had been upgraded to a suite and we could check in early at no extra cost. The decor inside the hotel is superb and the room was absolutely beautiful with a nice big bath and comfy bed. We also had nice views over Arequipa. The staff were very helpful and gave us lots of useful information. The breakfast was big with lots of different options and all very tasty.
The hotel has a hostel section and they are providing hotel quality at the hostel as well.Although the location is very central, it is very quiet. Super clean and comfy beds, open buffet rich breakfast, lovely and caring personnel (especially Mari, in the reception). Mari is amazing. She even prepared a breakfast box for me since I had a night departure for Colca tour. i stayed there for a week and felt really like home. A hidden gem in Arequipa.
I have to thank them a lot because I arrived at the hostel at 4.50 am (I took an overnight bus from puno to arequipa) and they let me stay and even have a sleep before the start of a new day
Nice staff, always willing to help, with good suggestions of what to do in the city
Good breakfast, with egg, yoghurt (I think it was the only place in Peru where I could find dairy or protein for breakfast), bread, butter, jelly.
Located close to the center, but still quiet. Super nice staff, awesome breakfast. Two nice rooftop terraces with views of the volcanos and cozy hammocks. Everything was clean and there was always hot water. The best hostel I've stayed at in Peru so far. Would have loved to stay longer but there were no free rooms for the next day.
The staff in the hotel were so lovely. They were very welcoming and kind. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was on the terrace with a beautiful view.
Location was perfect as you are minutes away from the old town in Arequipa.
We’ve stayed at this hotel each time we travel to Arequipa because they treat us like houseguests. The staff goes above and beyond to make our stay as uneventful as possible. The location is close to the Plaza de Armas and many excellent restaurants I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel and the staff is really wonderful and welcoming.
They were really accomodation and provided us early checkin after a long travel from Europe.
They provided a very nice breakfast pack for us, out of all the hotels in Peru, theirs was the best!
Great place to get in touch with the Peruvian culture, few steps from the civic center, the historic places and gift shops between others. Good breakfast. Very clean and quiet. You can have a good rest. Nice pool with best view in town. Great staff.
They should advertise with capital letters that they have windows towards the outside, and not towards some hallway like most peruvian hostals we have been at.
Big and clean room.
Very confortable beds.
Nice terrace on top of the building.
Great breakfast and ideal location in Arequipa. Had laundry done at the hotel the day prior to leaving and an item was missing. They mailed it to our hotel in Lima so we got it back before flying home! Amazing customer service.
Great location, tow blocks away from the central plaza. Very nice looking hotel, it's actually a national monument and home of the second president of Peru. Breakfast was amazing! staff was super friendly and accommodating!
The hotel is in walking distance to the main Plaza of Arequipa. A charming hotel with rooms that have a lot of character, had bathtubs and the beds were so comfortable. I look forward to returning in the future.
the property is very well located, in plaza de Armas in the center of Arequipa. The hotel is stylish and well decorated. the staff was helpful and let us keep our luggage during a 2 days tour.
It’s a good hotel, the location is so close to the main square and historic streets, the staff is very friendly and finally if you gonna go to Colca valley tour they give you a box lunch
The hotel is simply perfect, the best I found till now during my trip in Peru.
The rooms are big, clean, the services are perfect and manager are always taking care of ALL your needs.
The location is perfect and the hotel has an attractive contemporary edge within the historic city of Arequipa, with an amazing roof terrace and great breakfasts
