Beautiful city unlike any other I've visited in Spain. Each part of the city was unique and beautiful. The Moorish architecture was incredible, and we loved the food choices available in the city. The Alhambra was incredible - we initially couldn't get tickets as they were sold out weeks in advance; however, if you go on to official website at 12am, they release any tickets for the day which have become available and we were lucky enough to get some. You have to be very quick though as they sell out fast! We didn't go to the Nasrid palaces but there is still plenty to see/do on the gereralife tickets. Food was incredible but our favourite was Mi Mexico, which was a nice change from tapas. It’s a great city to visit.
It’s a great city to visit. There is a wealth of history everywhere with great signposting and information outside buildings even if you don’t have a formal guidebook. There’s lots of squares and parks to soak in some relaxation. Great street buskers and music and dance. Then of course the unmissable Alhambra. My main objective was visiting Alhambra Palace, and that was wonderful, even in the rain. Bus system was good, older areas were fairly easy to walk around and navigate, even for me with older legs! A lovely town to sit and enjoy a coffee, tapas, and watch the world go by, with many outdoor eating places. And it's the home of flamenco, something else to enjoy. Language was not an issue for me, an English speaker with limited Spanish.

Granda is a great place to visit.
Granda is a great place to visit. I recommend Alhambra but you need to buy tickets way in advance. Walk around the city - the parks are wonderful, they have good brunches. In general the city vibe is good. Try a free walking tour. Avoid the Arab district - we got scammed with candies at a local shop - too late we checked the reviews in Google Maps, seems like its a practice for that district.ValentinBulgaria - 10Scored 10

Granada is a big city but the people we encountered were friendly and helpful. It was crowded and the Alhambra sold out. It was the main reason we went to Granada and because we did not have previously bought tickets we did not get to visit it. The Granada Cathedral in Old Town is beautiful. The mountains in the distance were snow-covered which were a delight to see. The streets were often lined with orange trees, also a delight to see, though the oranges are not good to eat.AAnonymous

Bus for Alhambra leaves every 10m around the corner. Really spacious rooms, very clean, decorated with attention to detail. Bathroom is very clean and during our stay they had already cleaned the room during our breakfast so as not to bother us the rest of the day . Staff is very friendly and gives loads of tips for what to see, where to eat (even our next destination). Best breakfast I have had ever in a hotel (and i have seen a few)!
