Location was very handy to Jasper and in a gorgeous setting by the river. Staff were extremely welcoming upon arrival with a complimentary drink. Staff even sent a follow up text half hour later asking how we found our room.

Jasper sits in a green valley within a national park surrounded by the majestic Canadian Rockies. Water in its various forms has shaped the dramatic scenery and continues to create serene landscapes.
Tree-lined Lake Beauvert is the closest to town, but Pyramid and Patricia lakes are more famous thanks to the rugged peaks perfectly reflected in their still waters. Arguably the best of all is Maligne Lake whose incredible water colour is eclipsed by small, pine-lined Spirit Island. You may not know the name, but you’ll probably recognise the view.
Many glaciers come off the huge Columbia Icefield, roughly midway between Jasper and Lake Louise. Some have cut canyons where you can go ice walking. Other winter sports include ice skating and skiing at the Marmot Basin resort, named after local animals.
Bears inhabit the surrounding forests and more wildlife lives at The Den at Whistler Inn, just one Jasper accommodation option on Booking.com alongside mountain lodges and pet-friendly hotels with pools.
The Jasper Tramway – Canada’s highest cable car – goes to the top of The Whistlers mountain, and on the slopes of another are the Miette Hot Springs open-air pool. The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum details the area’s history, and traditional Haida styles and colours are celebrated in the modern Two Brothers Totem Pole

With a small town atmosphere guided by the Park Services, downtown Jasper caters to the moderate visitor population. Plenty of dining options across various cultural venues as well as price range. Excursions in and out of town are plentiful and those several I took were stunning and worthwhile.

Parking....
Parking.... There is free parking outside hotel to load/unload for limited time, but it's hit and miss as to whether it's available as you pass by. As it's a dual carriageway, not worth the effort unless you are disabled etc. Even then still not guaranteed of course.
Best to park in car park that is literally across the road.
App was no good for a UK visitor.
Use the bar code thingy it works well.
Chargeable after 09.00.
But once you have used bar code once you can pay from across the road in your room.
Putting aside the fact it's chargeable it works well and is a big carpark.
Go on streetview to see the lie of the land.

Jasper is a more rustic mountain town than Banff or Canmore, which are in the Banff National Park (Canmore just out of the park boundaries). There are lots of places to visit outside of the town within easy driving distances. The town has many interesting restaurants and shops, and many places in which to stay. Camping is available nearby.

We love Jasper .
We love Jasper . It's welcoming with local smaller stores and the views of the mountains are amazing. We would recommend the Pizza place and the family run L and W restaurant with a large variety of food we really enjoyed.
Not all stores are accessible for people in wheelchairs as they have steps to get into the store. One store allowed me to take t-shirts just outside there open door to show my daughter while they watched .

The lakes are worth seeing.
The lakes are worth seeing. There are several that are very photogenic - lake Annette for instance. The town itself is quite scenic, though nothing close to say the Austrian Tyrol. The SkyTrain is vastly overpriced for what it is.
Excellent hotel. The room was very clean and tidy. Very convenient location, just minutes away from all restaurants and shops. Friendly and kind personnel. The absence of air conditioning can be something that may affect some people's staying experience but definitely not a deal breaker for us. The loft room we booked has a very cozy layout and the fireplace adds a lot in the overall ambience, especially if booked in winter. Highly recommended facility l for your stay in Jasper.
The cabins were so cozy and comfortable- walking through the door is like stepping into a Rocky Mountain fairytale. The amenities were perfect for a couple (or family), providing everything we needed for a 3 day stay while visiting Jasper National Park. Kitchenette was ideal for preparing meals, shower & bed were new and clean. The decorations made it feel like a home. 10/10 will stay here again!
The actual cabin was very clean, beds very comfortable. Excellent location, short drive to Hinton where there's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and easy access to Jasper National Park. Nice mountain views and wildlife nearby. Nice little deck to the front of the cabin was great to sit out on. Although we brought our own stuff, the little kitchen had pretty much all you need.
Phenomenal stay. I originally booked a hotel right in Jasper but changed to the Overlander even though it was well out of the way. No regrets! The property was beautiful and all of the staff were so incredibly warm and welcoming. The dinner at the restaurant was probably the best tasting meal I’ve had in my life. I would happily stay here again.
The beds were very comfortable, the rooms a good size and we especially liked the fact that it was a pet friendly hotel as we just bought a puppy over Christmas. The pool and hot tub were great and the front lobby very cozy. The trails in the back of the hotel were great for walks with the dog and kids.
The Hotel is an older design with walk up second floor, the rooms have been updated and the washrooms are very nicely
finished. The location is a quick 7 min walk to the downtown of Jasper and buildings are kept clean. Parking is first come first served on the property and gets full later in the day.
the place is excellent the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is very good. The other amenities in the room are very satisfactory. The location isn't great however it takes 10-15 minutes to walk to Jasper city center. the price is very high but if the hotel asks and we pay apparently it works
Nice place to stay to explore the Rockies around Jasper; The town center is 10 away by foot. Although located by the road, it was not noisy at all. The room was big and had everything we needed. There is a small hot tub at the hotel which is usually very crowded in the summer.
The location was great for accessing Jasper National Park and the Columbia Icefields. No wifi nor cell service at the Inn and very limited cell service throughout the Park. The restaurant on site had great food. The bed was firm, which we liked better than a soft bed.
After staying in more hotel-like accommodations throughout our trip, we enjoyed having more of a "home" feel at Jasper House Bungalows. The location was perfect (along the Icefields Parkway) and it was incredibly convenient to have a restaurant on-site.
This was the second time that we stayed at the Crimson Jasper. The location is excellent within walking distance of the majority of restaurants and tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel for first time tourists to Jasper, Alberta.
The Mount Robson Inn is in a perfect location for enjoying the town of Jasper! We were able to walk to dinner and have a short drive to the Jasper Skytram. The room was exactly what was needed after finishing up hiking in Jasper National Park.
Good location. Really liked that there were outdoor hot tubs and an indoor hot tub and pool. I was happy that we didn't have to book a time slot to go into the pool/hot tub. Easy check-in process. Also great that it is a pet friendly hotel.
The property was in a great rural location and just a short drive from the centre of Jasper. The room in the hotel was a nice size and clean and comfy. The location is great for spotting elk and we also saw a bald eagle fly down the river.
Great hotel, although not in Jasper it is very near (around 6km). Room was a small apartment, including a small kitchen and also a fireplace. Place was clean and comfy. Parking available inside the property. View were also great
This place is very neat and clean, when sharing space with others. The people are very helpful and happy kind. I would recommend to choose this place if you are doing a trip to Jasper National Park.
Very centered hotel at the heart of Jasper. Very convenient if you want to walk to restaurants and shop around.
It's a short drive to Patricia and Pyramid Lakes and Jasper Skytram.
This characterful hotel is located right in the heart of Jasper, with good access to all the amenities and a short distance to some great trails. Staff is friendly and hospitable.
The hotel is located in the centre of Jasper. Walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets.
There is washing machine and dryer to do your own laundry and it is very cheap
