We enjoyed the visit to Piatelli vineyard, a long way there. The place is beautiful, the visit excellent with their bilingual guide.
It is rather expensive in my opinion for what it is, and if stopping for a meal afterwards that was gorgeous, but very expensive.
CAFAYATE Town is lovely and very safe, plenty of restaurants, best empanadas at The Hornitas, recommended by a local person.

the only reason to go to Cafayate is the scenery and the wineries. Dining is either OK or very expensive at the high scale wineries. A visit to the goat farm was very interesting and the cheese tasting was delicious

Staying at the bodega hotel (In my case, el Porvenir) is highly recommended! Also, you can enjoy great lunch or dinner at lots of bodegas (El esteco, Piattelli, etc.) Please stay at least one night there and enjoy each bodega's unique wines. A one-day trip from Salta is too short. Don't miss this beauty!

Stunning town, we absolutely loved it here.
Stunning town, we absolutely loved it here. We walked everywhere, i highly recommend eating at the bodegas. Our favorite bodegas were Piatelli and Nanni, Esteco was nice too but a bit too pricey. The scenery is something I would come back for alone.
Piatelli had amazing food and so did bodega Nanni. El Ranco is good for dinner too and it’s on the main square.

Small but cute town with lots of restaurants and shops for tourists.
Many wineries are within the city and all is at walking distance. The further wineries are only 4 min drives from town.
Very clean and with plenty of options for all budgets. Ideal for wine and food lovers.
The location was great! The owners of the hostel were too kind: they stayed up until 1 am waiting for my group to arrive safely, and provided free towels and included medialunas and biscochitos in the morning for all 8 of us in the group. They were truly wonderful and I wish we had more time at the hostel - it was private, quiet, clean, and positively added to the experience of exploring Salta. 10/10 would definitely stay again!
The hostel is cute, rooms situated around a courtyard with a vine and most importantly, a super cute terrier dog (who I think was called Fetch!). The room itself was pleasant but pretty basic but had good aircon and wifi worked well. Breakfast was nice, coffee, juice, medialunas and bread. There was free parking on the street outside the hotel most of the day.
Its was very beautiful, more than in the pictures.
The room was huge, clean and super nice. The pool was beautiful, cold but we didnt get inside (just laid by it)
Felt super boutique, but super close to the main square and shops in the town.
The breakfast was great, fresh and had many options. Fresh made eggs to your liking- that was great.
The apartment is new, clean, roomy enough for two people. It is on the edge of Cafayate, a 10-15 walk to the center of town. It has a nice pool which is very handy in that area in the summer. The kitchen is very effecient and handy. The people involved in renting the apartment were very kind and helpful.
Amazing hotel with the most beautiful view on the mountains. The staff is super welcoming, the garden, the pool and the rooms are really nice. Because it’s a bit remote from the city, it is very quiet at night. If you’re looking for a place to relax during your trip, that’s the place to stay at!
Fantastic! Great stay in Cafayate. Twin room was small but perfectly functional, with bathroom attached. All rooms and bathrooms super clean. The staff did not speak much English but were always very helpful. Great breakfast. Would happily return!
Breakfast was ok. The location was quite far from Cafayate, with nothing around. But it was very nice. Booking should have warned in the description that it is 17 km away from the town in the middle of nowhere. However I liked the location
Excellent atmosphere. The staff were very helpful because we need a late checkout, also the courtesy water was a great start. The vineyard view from the hotel it's beautiful. The restaurant food it's out of this world. I would go again..
This is really calm, spotlessly clean, well managed little Hotel just back from the main square at Cafayate. Perfect base to explore town and local wineries. Room was dark but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was exceptionally good.
Amazing room in great hotel at the centre of the city, the pool was really nice, tasty breakfast and grapes available from the property. it was a wonderful experience, highly recommend and would stay there again!
The hotel is nice, with its pool and views on vineyards next door. Our room was clean, with a big comfortable bed. It is walking distance to everything in Cafayate. Breakfast was pretty good.
The family that runs the hotel are not only very accommodating, but they are extremely nice. Felisa messaged me a few times after I left to make sure I was okay on my trip.
Beautiful building, comfortable and relatively large rooms, great outdoor area with pool and a nice café inside. It’s great value for money in Cafayate.
