My stay was very nice. The room was comfortable, wifi was fast, and the hotel is directly across the street from the Porter Square T station. No complaints here, especially considering the incredible value compared to similar nearby properties. Staying at the Porter Square Hotel is a no brainer.

Comfortable hotel. Clean and with all the basics that you need. Rooms are super spacious. It is well located for when I travel for business and near Cambridge Street with a lot of restaurants and services. It’s well located to access the city center from there too.
I will definitively stay here again!

Friendly and flexible staff except in the Japanese Steakhouse where they were cold. The hotel staff promptly moved me from a room in the pot-smelling 14th floor to a smoke-free top floor when I complained about the smell. Good location.

Cambridge is a great place for sightseeing and history.
Cambridge is a great place for sightseeing and history. My son graduated from Harvard University and the city has rich spots for viewing in conjunction with the university. The Coop has all of the Harvard gear and gifts to take back to family, as well as the Harvard Store. We ate at Tatte, a nice breakfast and coffee restaurant. Uber is easy as well as short walks around the squares. Cambridge is a beautiful city and I can't wait to visit again.

Stayed in Cambridge to attend a graduation at Boston University. We were just close enough for it to be a very short drive, but did not have to immediately deal with school traffic. There were many stores and restaurants nearby, with good access to major roads to simplify travel.

Cambridge is beautiful, a fascinating place, but we were running around for several work events and didn't see much. VERY congested, so we relied on Lyfts to get around. But, so much to see, packed with beautiful historic architecture. Lots of trendy food places (often a little strange).

Cambridge is an easy, safe and picturesque place to walk around. The streets are clean, the parks are beautifully maintained and there is stunning historic architecture, as well as quaint shops and eateries everywhere. We particularly enjoyed seeing the beautiful Memorial Hall. It's a pity visitors can't look inside, into the Annenberg Hall dining area, but we appreciate that the Harvard students may not like an audience whilst eating : ). The Harvard University of Natural History is fantastic and the Glass Flowers exhibit is a must-see! Being a rower, I enjoyed seeing the beautiful Weld Boathouse and Newell Boathouse and watching crews row up and down the Charles River. If you love books, The COOP bookstore is well worth a visit and if you enjoy ice-cream, I would highly recommend getting a Taiyaki (Japanese ice-cream) from Taiyaki NYC in Church Street. The ramen at Boston Ramen at 24 Holyoke Street was delicious and I would highly recommend grabbing a waffle and coffee from the food truck parked in the Harvard Science Center Plaza. If you're going into Boston, I would highly recommend the Boston Tea Party Ships and museum experience (an excellent interactive, re enactment experience), having a ride on the beautiful Greenway Carousel and walking through the Boston Common, seeing the 'Make way for ducks' statue and, for the 'Cheers' tv series fans, visiting the Cheers bar.

Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff.
Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff. Booked in advance, was quoted $186 tax included. But, at check-in I was notified that it cost $25 per day, per parking spot and a $75 fee that would be returned (5 to 7 days) after checkout. Plus they wanted $20 per person for breakfast. Total: $326 for 2 people for one night. Nice place, but won't spend that to stay there again.

It's in a good location for Cambridge, and even not far from Boston amenities. It is NOT right near Harvard campus, though, if that's what you're looking for ... but not far.
The facility is fine - an inn, not a hotel, but with room amenities of a hotel.
This Boutique Hotel is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The room was a bit small but very cozy and the bathroom was awesome with a large comfortable jacuzzi tub. All small details made this an amazing stay. The breakfast was very tasty and a decent variety of foods to choose from. Compared to other hotels in the area which do not offer it, it was perfect! The location is right next to MIT and the metro station (15 min to downtown). I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Boston.
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The location is great--right across the street from the T train station in Porter Square. There is a coffee shop right on the block and a shopping center across the street with some places to eat, Target, CVS, and a cute book store. The hotel is an affordable option if you are traveling to Cambridge, and I highly recommend it.
The Victorian room was exceptionally beautiful. The Inn was mesmerizing and memorable, please take the time to look through the entire hotel and at the various old fashion photos they have. I traveled for a weekend class through the Harvard Extensive School and the Harvard campus is close by. I had a fantastic time going to The Burren, a quaint Irish pub nearby. If you are visiting MA, do so in style at the Cambridge House Inn.
The place is pleasant, Metro station close by, food market in front of the hotel - you can have
breakfast and dinner with your own food in the hotel, in a pleasantly furnished room.
Rooms are nice, although not fancy - people at the reception ready to help solve your problems. High quality/money ratio - I would go back, given a chance to be once more in the Cambridge area
Very friendly staff at reception upon arrival. Good advice regarding where to eat (Mikes in Davis Sq - 15 min walk from hotel). Clean room - exceptionally comfy bed and pillows. Whilst we were there there was a problem on the tube into Boston. The reception ordered a taxi for us which was there within 10 mins.
The hotel is not at all value for money. No room cleaning service. the bed has strong weird smell. The light in the room was not functioning well. Very far away from bus station. Noise from nearby construction site every morning. Would never stay in this hotel again and won’t recommend to anyone
I liked the fact that it was a home away from home. I was with my family and it was perfect for our 14 day stay as we could cook and live like we are home. the laundry facility where perfect. the gym and the hotel is not far from the Boston Mall and a free shuttle is available.
A very good place. Clean, pleasant, and quiet. A great convenience is the all-day access to coffee and tea, as well as cookies. The breakfasts are very tasty and varied. Very close to the center of Cambridge. About 20 minutes by subway to downtown Boston.
The hotel residence is in a convenient location both for traveling by car and next to a bus to central Cambridge. It's a quiet and pleasant location. Ample parking, and close to a pharmacy and a diner. Staff was also very friendly.
The hotel staff is superb. We were in Cambridge for my husband’s surgery and were so well taken care of at the restaurant, by the front desk (Devon and all the staff), the wine and coffee (thanks Ben!). Very grateful!
Location is very good - walking distance to the city center. The room was comfortable for our family of 3. Beds were ok, nice view of the river, parking at the hotel (paid additionally).
The extreme cleanness of the room and the air are the best of this hotel. Even the room is on second floor, the room's sound proof from the street noise is excellent.
Location was great and with a T-line just outside the hotel. Easy access around Boston.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful when we arrived.
Room was a good size.
